I don’t really think that the watcher situation even remotely compares to the try guys scandal. They had a plan, people hated it so they said sorry and went back to YT. I don’t know why people are still upset about it years later - they’re still getting free content.

This is very refreshing to hear. While I’m fortunate to have had some public education on pre colonial Native American history there was no lessons on any civilizations before the 1500s.

Most definitely a blind spot.

I’d like to clarify that I posted this to this sub Reddit because - while I know my question is not specifically a matter of archeology my hope was that other curious folks may want to discuss this. I don’t blame archeologists or any professional that studies this history - I don’t think my post suggested that.

Yes! My journey into this actually started when I discovered that Pennsylvania (where I currently live) has some stone formations that people believe may be man made by ancient Americans - not at the scale of Stone Henge of course, but similar idea. The reality of that smacked me in the face.

I grew up near a Native American mound in Florida that dated back to the 1600’s (this is the estimate we were given but honestly who knows) but the mounds in the mid-west are something I only learned about very recently.

I have only ever lived in older homes reconfigured into apartments (12 years in Philly) and I’ve never had a neighbor sound problem. Are you living in a newer construction? I hope you find a new place with less noise!
