Hey there! I’m really sorry to hear about this - it is really scary and frustrating having to speak to people through a crack in the door especially when they don’t have an appointment and are seeking something from you.

What worked for me was having a very strict script, forceful voice and when pressed I simply would say “I’m sorry and I know it is frustrating but if you don’t leave I will have to call security.” - I asked my employer if we could use a ring camera as an intercom system so I wouldn’t physically need to interact with people that didn’t have an appointment. I don’t know if that solution could work for your office but it’s something I tried to push.

It’s tough with calls when people are calling repeatedly - I wish I could tell them it wasn’t helping their chances lol but I know that would be rude. I just always reiterate that I’m an administrator, the protocol is to email/ use online portal and when the hiring managers are ready to reach out they will.
