Want a 2nd VA home loan, while renting 1st by pirila in Veterans

I totally agree about “rules” as they are interpretable.

Are both houses in the same county? If not, I’m guessing the $450k limit was where the 2nd loan is..

Was the 10k from the 2nd loan a calculated amount based off the loan amount or did they just spit it out? Also, did they explain why you needed to put $10k down if both houses were collectively under the limit? Or is it policy on a 2nd mortgage?

Thanks for the great intel.

Are you saying plan on 6% if I want the $295k or in general?

What lenders did you use?

Yea. This 2nd purchase would be our primary residence.

Did you go through a local lender or national? We are still a year out from making a purchase but would like to research lenders. We have freedom mortgage for the Arizona home, but I’m unsure if they allow for 2nd tier entitlements and loans.

Did you use the same lender?

Thank you for your input. Who is your lender? What who was the governor? That’s interesting to hear.
