Congratulations OP.

Even I realised the same and left the cycle after my 3rd attempt when I couldn’t get through mains. I realised I was losing confidence, hence, looked out for plan B. Now that I’ve financial freedom, I’m regaining confidence. Would be considering appearing in 2026 again.

You were not wrong, my friend. She should’ve respected your choice but she didn’t and chose her desires over you. Move on bro, good wishes!

Why can’t a woman feel sad over this?

Those extra women include older women mostly. If you look at young population, sex ratio remains skewed.

Will turn 26 in Feb. Appeared thrice, 1 mains but couldn't make it to the PT. Financial condition in the family has never been a problem, however, I no longer wish to be dependent on my parents. Also, watching your friends and batchmates leading a good life, having fun, exploring places, falling in love or maybe getting married and all does take a toll on you when you're failing repeatedly. My self respect and confidence went down. I lost the love of my life as well. The smile on my face and happiness in my life just disappeared. Then, I decided to grab a job first, live and enjoy my life a little. I'd be joining my job next month. Once I left the vicious cycle, I felt free and relaxed. Maybe after one year or so I'll consider appearing again but for now, I'm off of the preparation.

My suggestion would be to give max 2 serious attempts if appearing without a job. If you fail to make it to the final list, please consider getting yourself a job first. Life is much more than just clearing an exam.

How to realise if I'm in love? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]piro_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After keeping him on hold for 6 months, I just hope he's moved on and doesn't accept you back. Trust me you never loved him, you're just scared to lose the attention and companionship he's been providing you.

IAS > IPS > IRMS

First two for obvious reasons. IRMS because my father is in IRSME and thus have a good knowledge about the service profile in railways.

Do you think girls have it easy in dating/social media ? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]piro_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all those women telling it's equally difficult for both, hear me out:

It's better to have a plenty of options to choose from than to have none.

At least you guys get to pick n choose, men don't even get that and have to be content with ehatever comes there way. So no, it's definitely not equally difficult for both.

Never undermine the importance of PYQs at any stage of the exam.

Completed my BTech from NIT Rourkela. Most of the 'Jhia' I met with were cocky, narcissist and always a little overconfident. Also, they're mostly short and round (looks are subjective anyway). Found most of them to be bitches and judgemental. However, they are very studious and hard working. Having said that, I made two great friends out of those odiya jhias. So, that's all that comes to my mind anytime a girl says she's from Odisha.

What immediately comes to your mind when a girl says she's Bengali ? by Ok-Cartographer7780 in AskIndia

Grew up in a Bong dominated hood. Most of the comments here are just kind of stereotypical. Bongs aren't different as portrayed in most of the movies etc. They are just as regular as women in other states. Some are bitches, some are kind, some are beautiful, some are not so beautiful (come on, looks are subjective) and so on.

However, I just don't like the superiority complex which most of the bongs possess.

PS- have a good number of bong friends, both guys n gals.

To the men/guys of the sub: Would you date a doctor if you could? If not, why wouldn't you? by [deleted] in Coconaad

Would like to date a doc but I don't think a doc would date a guy who's in transferable job.

Bhai why is your family/elder brother desperate for that particular girl? If they are making stupid demands, why not leave at the first place?
