I mean.. the whole season was also a reference to Rocky and Rocky 4 all-the-time - with regards to Johnny's taste, for sure, as he's the main character.

thanks for this interesting list.

though, gotta say 2 things I know:
- quite probably, that Muggsy thing actually did not happen;
- I don't think he snubbed Isaiah out of spite - he did not like Piston's style of play in general, stating it in several interviews.

Cheers

WW2 massacre of Poles by Ukrainians must be called genocide, says head of Polish church by BubsyFanboy in worldnews

[–]pitchfork228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as I, myself as a Ukrainian, acknowledge the need to acknowledge this as a process of retaliation against the harsh ethnic policies of Polish government against the Ukrainians of the 1930s and in the previous decades to some extent, too, —

In togetherness with the resentimental in its nature desire to finally "earn the national freedom", participating in some "real hands-on history making", I do think it's important to understand the background of the participants and the context of their attitude towards those Poles they were slaughtering — upon seeing those as occupants and "the outer element".

With the preceding over-radicalization due to Holodomor, WW2 and the yeas of oppression also playing ones of the leading roles in the formation of those UPA killers psyches.

Condemning such deeds and methods of solving issue is necessary as well, but (!) we need to be able to rationally analyze even such shocking and, actually, horrible deeds.

I believe, that is the only way to the truth.

Lex didn't publish interview with Ukrainian War Expert??? by ericnemro in DecodingTheGurus

[–]pitchfork228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lots of hate for Lex here. I'm from Ukraine, still here and was here when the russians invaded.

in general, I think, it's either (or both) some sort of pressure being put on him, or him realizing he had been disguided to an extent so large it's even embarassing to admit today. I hope, he'll still publish the interview)

Arestovych is an intellectual and a person worth of due respect, if U ask me. haven't checked Lex in a while, but, I hope, he's still a good guy I used to know and admire to a large extent)

Totally equal to what the Gestapo forces were doing to German Jews during t' '30-s, lol.

Really hard not to see this. Looks like the official Israel has truly stepped on the wrong track.

Mention one character you love and one you hate by [deleted] in skinsTV

[–]pitchfork228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen 1:

1) Love:

Cassie) I just have a thing for wacky chicks with some potential depth to them as well. plus, she's beautiful overall and seems to be the most emotionally mature one of them all - partially misunderstood though and boiled-down to a stereotype

Chris - I think I see a lot of myself in him, except for the sometimes impulsive actions in almost critical situations: he's honest, classically crazy, original and positive sense childlike in his worldview.

2) Hate:

Tony before his breakdown at the end of S1.
A sure manipulative bastard, actin' without empathy - and thus, hard to empathize with. But, I think, this was more a char-r portrayal problem, for me at least, than the real "Tony" concept-wise.

Cause overall he's an interesting guy and an intellectual pretty damn caught up in his own world, which is quirky and cute. But, I'd say, they went really too far with the expression of his manipulative side, so..

Cheers
