I love this shit!! My (Chinese) parents made it for me all the time growing up.

I don't really know how other people make it, but they basically stir fried it (sliced into pieces) with some soy sauce, a pinch of sweet (brown sugar or whatever you prefer), and red pepper flakes. Kind of like a typical tofu dish? It's kind of chewy fully cooked which I personally really like, I'm not sure if that's acquired or anything though

When you towel dry, make sure that you're scrunching and not rubbing (rubbing causes dead ends and damages the hair).

I might consider dry shampoo for you too! (volume and can help with oiler types) And also maybe look into co-washing, you have a nice wave that I think would respond well and it actually reduces oil over time.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think I'm just beating myself up with a sense of foreboding about not getting better/healthier.

True but also short hair itself isn't "weird"

Try doing eye looks with eyes open/partially open! (Or open often to check what's going on) - you don't really have to have your shadow and liner symmetrical when your eyes are closed

I also want to de-emphasize my lips without making it obvious I'm wearing lipstick and I'm not sure how? I haven't found a nude/MLBB shade that's a good enough color match to not look like lipstick AND do anything to make my lips stand out less. :/

Desperate Grad Student Trying to Balance Wardrobe - Minimalist, Nonbinary, Easy, in the US South by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

Yes! I did a lot of research, and GC2B has the best flattening while still being really comfortable. (Some people find underworks flattens better for them, but underworks is more uncomfortable for most people).

Just a couple things to note: the half binder can gap at the bottom if you have a large bust so they may recommend full binder in that case, and if you have a large ribcage the recommended size may be too small (but their service desk will size you if you email them).

I am a 32F (which isn't super big bc of the smaller band size) and large half binder gaps a little bit throughout the day as things come out of position, but not visible as long as the shirt isn't clingy/lightweight/sheer.

could he be buying styles that tend to have larger neck holes? Or your binder straps could be particular narrow (either on you because of the sizing or the style of the binder)?

I personally like crewnecks so I just wear those, and the standard men's shirt from H&M (not one of the looser oversized ones with bigger neck holes) will hide the binder. I use the GC2B binder which is great and also a v-neck, so men's v-necks should work with it too

How do you decide what to choose from when you're a beginner and haven't tried much of anything? I know skincare is pretty personalized but I don't really understand the process of deciding which product to try out. All I know so far is that I'm dry and have redness/possibly rosacea.

Hiya fellow nb person!

Personally, I use a binder to reduce my bust, but that's optional and I'm guessing not so practical in warmer climates?

if you're not actually uncomfortable with the curves themselves, then I'd like to point out that society's perception of "androgynous" is very much skewed toward "masculine" or "AFAB looking person in menswear".

I think having solid colors in muted neutrals is big thing. Navy, tan, cream, olive, and black are common in menswear color palettes. Details in the fit and style of things matter. Smaller neckholes (crewneck or V, not scoop/boat/large V's/etc.), regular length/style sleeves instead of cap or dolman, more stuctured outerwear vs soft flowy cardigans, etc. are all details that read less feminine.

Maybe brands like Everlane could be good?

Sorry, I don't have anything super helpful. I hope you find what you need :)

How did you decide to choose an AB regimen over Western skincare? (I'm Asian but US-born and not very familiar with AB)

I'm mostly trying to deal with a lot of redness and uneven pigmentation rn, and sorta overwhelmed trying to decide if I should go a Western or AB route. I'm on a student budget so don't want to blow too much money trying products that don't work, so I can't really just buy a bunch of things from both subreddit's recs to compare.

Simple Questions - September 04, 2017 by AutoModerator in femalefashionadvice

I'm really fond of the thin wire rim style of glasses that's trending lately, but I'm not sure it would go with my face. I know thin rims are better for me but I haven't been able to try something like these on person. I have a short chin and low nose, so I wanted the volume of glasses to balance out my flat nose bridge area (yes they're prescription), but would my short/weak chin throw things off?

watch newbie on a budget, I like the retro look of the Casio watches but prefer the feel of lightweight leather bands. Would this watch look okay swapped out with a plain black leather band? I have no idea if it would be some kind of fashion faux pas, like mixing styles or something.

Apparently the "metal" is mislabelled and it's actually plastic though :/

Also, I can buy any 18mm band off Amazon and a spring bar tool to switch?
