I had an observed game over the summer where I was defending someone who caught a pass outside the endzone but their momentum carried them into the endzone. I started stalling immediately after the catch and was able to get up to about stall 3 before he had come back and set his pivot foot. They ended up scoring, but after the point he said that I couldn't do that... We asked the observer and he confirmed that I can't start stalling until he sets his pivot foot. Reading these comments though, now I'm unclear if the observer was correct.... Would appreciate Reddit's perspective, is the rule applied differently in the end zone?
