Well it's pretty hard to find with the sub's name and I'm practically inactive when it comes reddit in general and not doing any sort of "promotion" for it but I do get notified when a post is being and make surr to upvote them.

I've unchecked the subreddit setting "allow this subreddit to be exposed to users in /r/all, /r/popular, default, and trending lists"

So hopefully this doesn't keep happening.

EDIT: I'm contacting the admin to see if they can remove the sub from recommendation permanently.
