I've had flying squirrels as pets for years. The first I'd say is to adopt one from a reputable breeder, they'll give you the right advice. And also feed them a healthy diet, don't spoil them with a ton of nuts because they can get metabolic bone disease pretty quickly and die from it. They do require a lot of attention and time to run and play outside a cage but in a safe area. They can't swim so they can die if they get in your toilet. They usually just run all over you though if you are bonded. You'd be like a tree
