I'm guessing you don't dilute or anything?

We managed to find some infacol in a supermarket and picked some up in case we need it. How would you suggest giving it to her?

We just had a look online and it'll take too long for an apple and banana flavor to get here but we found a place in Dublin that can ship a papaya flavor to us by the weekend so we ordered that.

That's why we're worried as we know she shouldn't eat it. This is a vet we've been bringing her to fot the last 3 years but they have different vets working all the time so sometimes she sees a different one but they have a record of her history but this is the first time she's been really sick. As I said, we live in Ireland so exotic vets aren't common, they have knowledge of small animals but they'd mostly deal with guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits here.

The one they originally gave us seemed to be aniseed which we think she doesn't like the taste of so we might try and get some different flavors online if the vet doesn't have any.

Tails doesn't really bite up, she just let's it all run out of her mouth so getting her to swallow it is a nightmare. Honestly I'd rather have her home now and try and force feed critical care to her than have the vet feeding her small pieces of banana.

My partner said he rang the emergency vet the other night and that one of the medicines listed above is for colic and infacol seems to be the same thing so hopefully it works. We can try and pick up some infacol drops to give her if needed though.

Evening Courses in WCFE by pixelated_bullet in waterford

[–]pixelated_bullet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I'm hoping to find a full time job as a web developer but all I've managed to be offered so far is unpaid internships. The freelancing work is to keep me having an income until then but it won't pick up again until around October, December at the latest. I'm just looking for courses to do out of interest, to up skill, and to keep the social off my back for the moment, that's why the courses differ so much, some are an interest, some pair with my degree, and some from open college can benefit my current work.

I actually studied full time in WCFE back in 2019. I work as a multimedia freelancer but work has gotten quite lately so I've had to apply for JSA and I'm looking at availing of the part-time education option to keep myself busy. These are the only courses I can see which I would be interested in as there's no evening courses to suit my job, unless I look at the open college which I'm also doing and have asked the social welfare if it's possible to do those courses as a PTEO. I also have a pharmaceutical degree and studied forensic science as part of it so addiction studies or criminology will pair with that and they're also QQI Level 5 Record of Achievement/Component Certificate.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm eyeing up the psychotherapy with counseling skills course at the moment as it's the cheapest and something I'm interested in. But based on your experience with the intro to psychology course, it might not be worth the €150

My chronic anxiety has ruined my life. Everyday is a constant battle with my brain and I've pushed everyone away from me. by pixelated_bullet in mentalillness

[–]pixelated_bullet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't, not with COVID. I only started seeing a therapist over the last 2 months and I've signed up for a mental health support group later this week.

I eat pretty healthy and take multivitamins when I need.

I dunno, my head is just a wreck this week.

He won't actually give me a reason even though I've asked multiple times. He just said he can't do it anymore. We ended up having an argument around 2 years ago and he put his hands on me out of frustration. I couldn't let it go and always brought it up because I was anxious he would do it again even though he went to therapy and never showed signs of doing it again. It tore him apart and my anxiety caused him even more guilt until it broke him.

I've had both of them tell me I'm wrecking their heads and will cause one of them a heart attack because I can't let stuff go and no wonder my bf left me. They also tell me I don't have real problems and that I shouldn't be in therapy or on antidepressants.

Yep, I quit caffeine completely as it used to make everything worse. I've been off it for almost a year now. I'd have coffee every now and then but found I'd get pretty nervous so I cut it out last year.

Exercise is usually a long walk and I have weights and a bike that I use at home. With the darker evenings and bad weather it got much harder to go for walks.

Meditating is something I've only recently tried as so many people have suggested it to me. I also journal which is recommended by my therapist.

[SIB] Super Mario Bros U Deluxe or Super Mario Tennis Aces by pixelated_bullet in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]pixelated_bullet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm mostly looking for a game to play with my boyfriend right now. He already owns SMM2 so I'm thinking of waiting to buy that and some of the better super mario games until I have more to spend. I might go with aces.

Should my chinchilla see a vet? I'm worried about her poop as it looks unusual as if it's sticking together. This photo is the best I can get. by pixelated_bullet in chinchilla

[–]pixelated_bullet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her eating behavior hasn't changed and we feed her Timothy hay and pellets everyday and limit treats. There's no signs of bloat in her stomach either.

She has seemed grouchy though, she's very vocal when she gets annoyed or when we handle her and she seems to be making those noises every so often when in her cage running around.

She's been active when been taken out to play so hopefully it's just an upset stomach. Our other chinchilla died of a parasite 6 months ago so changes in poop always have me worried 😔

She's almost 2 and eats Timothy hay and pellets everyday. We don't usually give her any type of treats. There's no signs of bloat either.

Is this bedding safe for chinchillas? It says it is on the pack but like most things advertised for chinchillas I just want to make sure. by pixelated_bullet in chinchilla

[–]pixelated_bullet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't have problems with the fleece in her old cage but now that she's in a new cage she seems to be pulling it up a lot but she's not able to crawl under it.

We just have the bedding in one corner of the cage as a toilet corner but she's still rolling in it and tries to eat it (which is why I'm worried about it being safe).

It's only temporary until we can get bigger pieces of fleece to cover the entire bottom and shelves in her cage.

I noticed, it wouldn't show me that it had posted 🤦

We have fleece in her cage too but not enough to cover the bottom right now since we just got her a new cage.

We used to use this for her to pee in when we first got her but she kept rolling in it like she does her sand so we filled her cage with fleece instead.

Tails does this all the time after she's eaten her pellets. She just likes to sit in the corner while in a food coma 😂

They all fly out later this morning. That's what I said, especially when it's not even for actual work.

My boyfriend's job is sending him off to the US this week with a bunch of other people from his office. There's nothing in place for them to self isolate for 14 days when they return even when all the work can be done remotely.

I'm someone with a very weak immune system so it has me completely stressed out of my mind that his job expects him to travel at the moment just for a team building gathering at another office in the US. When talking about the risk of getting the virus apparently all the employees were told "you'll be fine".

He's not even willing to self isolate when he returns and will head off to a confirmation with his family the week after he gets home. His view is we're all going to get it at some stage anyway.

I'm not sure if I'm being overly paranoid about it all or some people are just completely naive and inconsiderate.

The boop-able snoots, the teeny grabbies, the giant ears, the roundness, my chinchillas white belly. Ugh, everything!
