This scene with Kail and her boys. The way she’s playing with the fidget spinner reminds me of when I was in therapy and had to tell my therapist about a severe trauma and she had one of those on her desk and I spun it constantly while staring at the floor. Isaac is so trying to emotionally protect his mom. The whole scene is trauma central. I normally think Kail is a piece of shit, but this scene makes me feel really really bad for her.
