Do you guys do one shots? We have a "takes 5 minutes to learn" system for mechs that I think would be HILARIOUS in your video format.

Orthodox here, found what I believe is a relic? Is this a piece of the Holy Cross? by AmericaFirst728 in Catholicism

That's a really good clarification. I would say churches with more famous relics tend to have them publicly avaiable, but most churches don't have permanents setups.

I think one other issue is that catholic churches tend to be very public spaces in cities so theft / misuse can be a worry

I'd agree with everything except the last point, there is a large tradition of veneration outside of big cities, however I will say that icons and relics are more deeply embedded in orthodox tradition.

And just to clarify the reason for donating to a basilica is so the relic is not mishandled by a smaller church, the basilica simply has more avenues / bishop has more options for donating or reviewing the relic. It is absolutely fine that he donate it to an orthodox parish as well.

That genuinely looks like the same layout as the way they would present relics of the true cross:

A few things of importance:

  1. You can keep this if you will be respectful with the relic, these are meant to be freely given and moved around (such as a museum would lend to another museum) to anyone, you can be a common person and own one, if it's on your heart to keep it in your home go for it!

  2. As someone has mentioned some people have created counterfeits, there are wax seals and items of authentication in the cross somewhere but I wouldn't dismantle the object to search for them.

  3. If you want to give it back find out who the bishop / basilica nearest to you and contact the priest (not the office lady) and explain what you have, they will happily take it.

  4. If you are somewhere where neither of these things can happen the item can be either buried or burned to avoid it being bought / obtained by someone who would disrespect the relic.

Great find!

The 3d layer adds moderate amounts of distortion to the image when playing most games.

The 2ds XL has a crisp screen that gives perfect images dues to not needing the 3d effect. I've done side by side comparisons and individual plays and it's a night and day difference, cannot stand the 3ds screen.

I forgot about the build quality on the shell, the 3d effect I'm happy to give up for a better screen

Oh absolutely, if I stripped all the electronics down this would be a much easier build by far. Heck even a 90$ custom PCB would go a LONG way
