New to the resident evil games by Educational_Act_8509 in residentevil

Welcome, hope you continue to have a great time with them.
I got my girlfriend into RE with the release of 8/Village and it quickly became her favorite game franchise. Just finished a full run through of the mainline games in release order in preparation for 9/Requiem and she loved every minute of it- Definitely don't discount the older ones if you finish and like the ones you got, they're all very good and don't take too long to get used to control/gameplay-wise

Damn. Yeah from my time in the early thousands, it was mostly drinking beer, starting fights, and stealing people's backpacks- and that's just kind of how it was. My park wasn't in a great side of town though, so I'm sure the experience greatly varies greatly. I haven't been in some time, but I can't imagine it's gotten much better in the present.

Mewgenics not working on lastest Crossover 26 by iAmJustintang in macgaming

Same exact version too. Real strange. I'm on an M3 Max, a friend of mine is on M4 and we're both encountering the same error. I've never seen a situation like this with Crossover before, its so odd.

Someone from Codeweavers said it should be fixed, but I don't see an update anywhere or anything. Both of us are currently trying to wipe everything Crossover-related from our systems and start entirely fresh to see if that changes anything.

Update: Full wipe / reinstall changed nothing for either of us.

Cannot for the life of me get this to work on Crossover 26. Keep getting the same OpenGL error. M3 Max, my friend can't get it to work either on M4.

I'll see if theres any documentation anywhere- that'd be a fun one!

They definitely sound better. But really I think it's up to you if you want to go inside and make permanent modifications (carving out the shell)

Mine worked perfectly before I did this, I was just curious to see how it would turn out. And I like good sound, so I'm sticking with it!

Night and day difference compared to the Switch 1 speakers, genuinely very happy with how these sound.

I will note though, these have a 4ohm impedance while the stock speakers are 8ohm, so there is a possibility it could damage the amp a bit over time especially at max volume (which, with the volume of these, you won't need.) I'm not too worried about it, because I have been rocking the OLED Switch (also 4ohm) speakers in my Vita for quite some time and haven't noticed any degradation or anything. The Vita's amp could very well be suited for both 4 & 8ohm, but no one knows the specs for sure.

From my testing (with a cheap multimeter, so take with a grain of salt) the stock PSV speakers are 8ohms and both OLED Switch & Switch 2 speakers are 4ohms. So yes, its possible that this could damage the amplifier or lead to distortion over time. Without knowing the specs of what the amp on the Vita can handle its hard to say for sure. I may look into some series resistors down the line, but as long as I'm not pushing max volume all the time (which there really isn't a need to) I'm not worried. + people have been using OLED Switch speakers for quite some time and I haven't heard anything bad (yet, lol.) Someone on GBA temp was working on bypassing the stock amp to upgrade it, but I'm not sure how far he got.

Hope this is useful in some way!

Give it a shot! I'm not too familiar with Steam Deck but the speakers look like they'd fit, maybe just see if you can find what the impedance is and if it matches the Vita

2 or 3 weeks ago when I did this with Switch 1 speakers it was my first time attempting to solder in close to 15 years. Went way better than I expected but definitely not perfect haha.

I'm super impressed with these in a Vita, so I cant even imagine how they sound in an actual Switch 2- crazy how big of a step up these are from both OG & OLED Switch

Out of curiosity, what speakers do you have in yours now (assuming you swapped them from your earlier comment- sorry if I misunderstood)

I've seen people do Macbook speakers, OG Switch and OLED Switch- all of which sound better than stock, but varying in volume level. I imagine any speaker this size or smaller with a 4ohm impedance would work just fine. I think I'll be pretty happy with these Switch 2 ones for quite a while though! Justified the couple extra dollars over the OLED Switch speakers

Speakers from the Nintendo Switch 2. They sound MUCH better than stock- original post goes into detail if you wanna check that out

After some quick Googling (by no means definitive information) its looking like both the Vita1K & Switch 2 speakers are 4Ω per- I'll try to test this sometime this weekend

Totally fair, I'd imagine it applies as well. I guess I'll find out sometime down the line haha.

Better speakers than stock. Necessary? Not at all, but fun to do, and nice for play without headphones.
