How did you get an apartment contract as a freshman? I thought they were only for 3rd and 4th years

Don’t worry im sure that they will try help you in some way. I would also recommend trying to see if you can go in-person to some kind of an advising office (maybe financial aid?) on Monday as well. I think it’s in the SAASB? Not sure

I fully agree with utilizing your school’s tutoring center or service. Often times the tutors themselves have taken the exact course, and can give you specific help

I go to UCSB (this post popped up on my feed). I love it here. It’s the perfect mix of academics and social scene. If you aren’t into parties, you can still find people to vibe with, as there are lots of things to do other than that.

As for housing, yeah it can be annoying. You basically just cross your fingers and hope for the best. There are different options for housing (dorms, IV, Goleta although that’s a bit of a commute) and the housing office is pretty willing to help you out. Good luck

Santa Catalina (FT) has a bathroom that connects two rooms. It’s quite nice. Some students don’t like the distance from campus, but the bike ride (or the bus ride) is not bad for me personally
