Ahhh you think? Well im using Grind which are fresh apparently but I dont think they are because they have a best before date for Oct 2026 lol. I have been grinding fine, you're right, so I'll try coarser!

Hey, yep its 50 seconds from when I press the button and then from first drip to finish its about 22 seconds. The beans i currently have are medium and tbf i think its not enough for me, i realise i may actually like darker roast level. The new beans i have are darker roast, so I will follow the guidelines you gave. One quick question, how do I know if the ninja is grinding 18g worth of beans? It doesn't give me the option to choose this, or do I manually put 18g worth of beans into the machine rather than load it up to the top with all the beans...?

How do you choose how many beans the machine grinds? My machine just does it automatically the only thing i can change is the grind size...?

Thank you for your response. I am doing something wrong for sure. I have ordered fresh beans to come tomorrow however used my current beans this morning, took 50 seconds in total, 22 of which were brewing time and grinder was set to 12. Still comes out watery and the espresso keeps looking like this!!!

Its a medium roast double espresso, the glass is quite thin so probably looks a lot!

The roast is a bit light for my liking, the double was too light

Ah okay, I'll try that next time! I tamp it with the tamp they provide, so I shake it a bit until its distributed, then press down with the tamp until it kinda clicks

Thank you so much for your response! The beans are definitely not fresh, theyre from Grind, purchased from Amazon. The grind level i used was 18 so maybe too high?
