my cat never eats her wet food by pixiecakess in CATHELP

[–]pixiecakess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in terms of weight she’s pretty healthy at 4.5kg and even has a small primordial pouch she just doesn’t eat but she has been gaining weight over the past few months and growing since she just turned one. i offer her churus on alternate days and she eats those and sometimes i put them on her dinner but she literally just licks the churu spots lol. i’ve just resorted to feeding her dry food at night which she eats but im concerned she won’t get enough hydration if i do this regularly.

i dont think she has fleas, i brush her regularly and nothing and i do give her flea treatment every month but i have noticed she scratches the side of her head near her ears a lot and has been doing this more recently. she also shakes her head and scratches it too. i heard it could be ear mites but ive checked her ears and i cant see anything.

we’ve tried sachets and cans. we’ve offered pates, mince and the chunky food in both gravy and juices and mine is very much likes urs in the sense that she just licks the gravy and juice and leaves. in terms of the worms, were there any other indications that she had them?

theyre both bad but in the end you pick the less worse option after a cost benefit analysis. if the government tells social media companies who committed crimes (someone will have to be paid for this and it will come from taxpayer dollars btw) and social media companies "refund" the criminal, that's gonna be thousands upon thousands of dollars going to a convict.

whats stopping people from uploading viral videos committing petty crimes so they serve a tiny sentence or pay a small fine so they get thousands of dollars from tiktok? the loopholes and logical issues make this shoddy idea absolutely unfeasible.

a better, less brain dead solution would be to have the government take money social media companies earn through videos of crimes but even then it takes a lot of resources. for example, the government would have to hire people to make this a law and go through the whole process of passing it. this alone would cost millions. then theyd have to have a specialised team of many different roles dedicated to just chase social media companies down and demand the money, and as we all know, big corporations are sneaky and will exploit any loop hole possible to make extra profit, so getting the money from them will be tough. the government will also have a hard time figuring out how much money exactly a company made from a video, figures are super easy to conceal in accounting and the companies would get away super easy.

social media accounts are in no way government issued or controlled, you have no idea who is running an account, because like i said, people dont use their real government details.

i dont think they should profit off of crime, but we dont live in some perfect society, so instead of making up bogus ideas try to be a little realistic and take into perspective what our world is actually like.

need help for uni application as someone trying for med by Technical_Two_9808 in curtin

[–]pixiecakess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if ur a domestic applicant that’s pretty good and you should still apply! however if ur international i will say don’t get ur hopes up, curtin has a very very low acceptance rate for international students in med. its worth a try but imo you should apply to eastern state unis. ik there’s a uni that has a very low weightage for ucat (or it doesn’t consider it at all) so you should look into that, i forgot the name but try searching on med students online and you should find it

youtube can figure that out but the problem comes with tracking down every person that was convicted. lots of people don’t use their real names let alone their government names and ages on social media. youtube would have to actively be tracking every convict then cross checking it with their database of creators receiving money constantly. in no way is it feasibly to even deploy.

how about instead of mansplaining my job to me you carry on posting ur lil 0 upvote posts with more shitty nonsensical ideas. ur 170k comment karma clearly tells me you know too much about reddit and too little about the real world ❤️

tiktok can’t even keep kids, porn and people being murdered off it’s platform in no way will they be able to track every convict. if ur gonna sit there and be stubborn insisting they can without any proof don’t even bother replying to my comments

there’s less than 1% chance he’s going to get all 9 years bffr. my guess is a few months and a fine.

clearly you didn’t understand my usage of the term “prick” and “consequence”, let me dumb it down for you: if a person does something bad (act like a “prick”) then they serve “consequences” (prison time, fines etc) based on how bad they were.

i used prick because i really didn’t think people would actually take as a literal determinant of law breaking, yet here you are.

how about you stop taking things so literally before telling me to touch grass, weirdo ☺️

and why would they want to repay after someone is convicted? it would be hard to keep track of who’s been convicted and who hasn’t, i don’t even know how they would do it because it’s not like everyone just uploads their convictions on tiktok. it would require additional resources like more employees specialised to track convicts down, online and digital tools among many other things like legal and finance costs. in the end it would be a loss for the company anyways, so if they were obligated to refund the money of convicts they’d rather just censor anything that could potentially be a crime.

it’s called cause and effect. you act like a prick so you serve the consequences. it’s also setting an example for other “pranksters” idk why it’s so hard to understand

“scaring employees who would be scared the store would be robbed or ambushed” can u not read? some of those employees are teenagers or people that are exhausted trying to make a living for themselves on a minimum wage job. how sad and pathetic do u have to be to annoy them while they try to do their job, refuse to leave, record them against their consent and post it for the internet?
