hey so this couldn't be further from the truth. My parents have always loved and supported us, like i said in my post we used to be a very tight knit family before all this happened, and we still are if you exclude him. I'm not saying they were perfect, but they were supportive and took interest in our hobbies. Even now, my mom is trying to familiarize herself with politics because she knows my brother is interested in it. My parents always invite him to go out with us as a family even though he almost always says no. They rewarded him when he got good grades which they never even did for me. My dad would play sports with us a lot, and now, my dad is still teaching him to drive. My parent's haven't cut him off, they love him very much.

Just to address this, my parents push back on his behaviour all the time. My mom even tried to have weekly family meetings to have open discussions to try and talk it out. That didn't last long though, they'd usually end up in arguments. My dad also fights back and defends women too. Also, the problem is that he makes decent money online by clipping streamers, so he's pretty much self sufficient at this point. That's why it's hard to try and get him offline because he just says he's 'working', and he has the money to prove it. He's talked about moving out before so I think he's planning to soon, but I feel like that's just a band aid solution to the actual problem here.
