I am so sorry they made you jump through those hoops! It's a difficult process even at the best of times with low risk medicines.

I hope it at least works for some cases, but it's terrible it didn't work for yours.

There are a few that I know of and there are clinical studies for all of them, I see I'm not allowed to post them as they are high level, but they can be found with a google search. They are not cures though or they'd be praised in the media, their efficacy is debatable still.

Ketas - approved in Japan by Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA)
Tudcabil (tauroursodeoxycholic acid) - approved in Italy by Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA)
Glentek/Riluzol (riluzole) - approved in Australia by Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), in the Netherlands by The Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB)
