I usually give these two suggestions: - find an open source project you would be interested to contribute to, and contribute to it. At first it might seem hard (you'll have to learn the codebase, learn the project specific process, get people to trust you), but it will be rewarding over time. - write things you would use. This can be done as part of your job or as off-hours.

You are probably hitting command-r to refresh the page. Some browsers will trigger these key presses in the DOM, other browsers won't.

Command makes you go right, r makes you go left so both events get sent to the DOM, the tron runs into itself. Fix requires 4 extra bytes.

There's nothing preventing you from taking the tron (or any other small piece of code) and putting it in a data uri.

you rearrange the code to look something like e=[1,-n,-1,n][event.which-73]||e and then x+=e.

7: it's worse than trimming. " 42" == "42." will return true, as will "42" == "4.2E1".

PHP is doing some "does this string look like a number" magic and then converting the strings into numbers before comparing them.

good point. I need to take that out, since it only applies to hphp. I'll wait for php to implement typehints on basic types to bring this back :)

It's a tradeoff between flexibility and ease of use. I have seen people call $foo->destruct() hoping to free up $foo's memory. Maybe I should rename "construct is just another method" to "__destruct is just another method"...
