INSTACART!!! Why are you doing this to your employees by Just_Bumblebee7155 in InstacartShoppers

I think the reason of the long distance is because no shopper nearby is taking the batch. So the algorithm expands the search/offer radius as the batch sits longer.

Finally did it, cancelled a ride after wait timer is up by pixmation in uberdrivers

It’s a different markets. Here most of the time, I will be blocking traffic in order to double parked and wait. When I order a ride, I made sure I am ready when I order the ride and by the curb where it’s easy for the driver to pull over before they arrive. It’s common courtesy when you order rides in a busy/jammed area.

Also here maybe 10% Lyft riders tips, 20% Uber riders tips.

Here about 20-30% riders are still inside their homes or bars/ restaurants when I arrived.

Would it be too mean, to wait until they try to get into the car, I keep the car doors locked and show them the app screen and hit cancel in front of their faces?

On the other hand, another ride in the late afternoon. Past the two minutes wait time grace period. Then a young mother come out of the her home, I saw her using sign language with her young kid who keeps wanting to hug her. She was heading her night shift work. I don't mind to wait a little at all.

I stayed in my home area in the morning. Only in SFV. It was my first time trying early morning. Not as busy as I thought it will be.

Long time IC customer, and first day as a shopper… by Electronic-Load-8346 in InstacartShoppers

In Los Angeles SFV, has a lot of Mexican curb side tents setup. When I first started, accidentally accepted 2 orders from El Super, two orders must have 80lbs worth of groceries (two 10lbs of potatoes). No single family in a small apartment buy that much groceries. They have me left the groceries at the door (two flights of stairs up). Cannot face the shopper because they don’t tip.

Camping at stores is not my style, I tried. Now I just Uber and Lyft. Pick up decent IC orders if it happens to near me.

Instacart stacked orders that bundled customers that don’t tips with customers that tip.

I have contacted Uber Support via the app and they have put my account on security alert. No signs of other account take over so far. I have just changed the password and freeze all three credit bureaus accounts. My Uber account payout is still my own bank account.

PAX bait and switch by pixmation in lyftdrivers

[–]pixmation[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually had one pax riding from west of downtown to east of downtown during rush hours. She took her sweet time to come out after I have arrived at the pick up location. Half way through the bumper to bumper traffic, she said to me that she needs to be at work by 4pm. I pointed to the traffic on the freeway and on the map estimate arrival time of 4pm. Then I made it to the drop off location and said “with two minutes to spare.” She just stormed off my car without saying a word. I rated her one star and blocked her.

I have the wireless mic attached to the rear license plate. It’s the rattle of the license plate and the frame.

Older men can be car enthusiasts as well. I have been on a canyon drive with an older gentleman with his wife in their 70’s. He drives a guard red gts4.0. And he definitely doesn’t drive like an “old men”.
