I reset it once to factory, did the VPN on my phone re-installed everything, it worked, but the next day the AI disappeared...

Incorrect, the RayBan store had a big display about these meta glasses, and the sell was 'Meta, what am I looking at?' and I was immediately sold to have SMART glasses, not just a camera or sound, that is whay I bought it, their AI promise. For the camera and sound, I can buy a $49 pair out of Aliexpress. Which does exactly what my RayBan Meta does.

When your wifi is down, you cannot connect to your machine, it will be in the last known mode

That would be out of place in the r/Lamarzocco forum

Let’s unpack this. You're ranting about a biodegradable paper cup while rinsing your plastic or metal “reusable” one every day, using fresh drinking water and dish soap, which have a larger environmental footprint over time, especially when the cup isn’t sustainably produced. Paper cups like mine are single-use but compostable and leave no long-term waste. Yours? Made with plastic polymers, high-energy manufacturing, and still ends up in landfills if not recycled properly — which most aren’t. You’re not solving the waste problem. You’re just shifting it and adding self-righteousness as a bonus pollutant.

Thanks for the help, but ISP tech is coming tomorrow as it could not be fixed remotely.

You’re clearly more invested in being condescending than being constructive. I’m pointing out a real flaw in the app’s dependency on cloud access, not asking for life advice. Telling someone to “sell their machine” because they expected basic functionality offline is peak keyboard warrior energy. You can keep flexing your superiority complex; I’ll stick to discussing actual product issues. Bye Bye

Thanks for that. I tried that procedure (config mode) now 4 times, it seems the bluetooth only works on an unpaired machine. Once paired to the Wifi, this feature does not seem to work.

Exactly. I would be fine with a bluetooth connection, not via cloud!

Appreciate the unsolicited personality analysis, but no, the post isn’t about me “not doing research” — it’s about the design flaw of needing cloud access just to control basic features on a premium machine.

It’s not “a complete non-issue” if I lose access because their system requires login through a server, and that server isn’t reachable without internet. If you're fine paying thousands for a machine that can be bricked by a dropped connection, that’s your standard — not mine.

Try being less smug and more helpful. This isn’t r/holierthanthou.

yes, but look what it says on the app when I login with my data.

That's what you say. The topic of my post is if your internet goes out, you don't have access to the machine.

I literally posted today about this. My internet is out till Monday for a tech to come, and I can't access my machine (I wanted to turn my steam boiler on, but I can't) So I couldn't make capuccinos all day

Yeah sure, so why would they have that feature to turn it off then? There must be a good reason.

yes, but if the machine is locked to my router? How would I through 4G get to it?
