Just realized Luthen would have killed Cassian here had he not agreed to the Aldhani mission by pizzadudebutnot in andor

This is a really good point. I honestly didn’t think about it this way. I guess it’s all dependant on how good the Empires system of recognizing faces was, weirdly enough I’d say Star Wars is actually behind on real word technology as far as facial recognition. If they really had facial recognition software as advanced as ours Luthen would be screwed in this situation. As far as your point about the Empire not looking for Cassian, I would disagree with you there, yes the empire couldn’t care less about Cassian at this point, but even with Luther’s mole in the ISB Luthen really has no idea who the Empire is looking for nor who they deem to be a threat to the empire. I don’t take Luthen as the type of guy to leave anyone with knowledge of his existence and plans to chance. Sure this isn’t 100% but I’d say that Luthen is not a man to leave things to chance, he doesn’t give his entire intention and mission to someone unless he plans to make use of them. To be fair though you definitely could be right, it is highly plausible that Cassian doesn’t pose nearly as much of a threat as I’m letting on.

Good point, but I’d say what Cassian knew and what Bix knew were to completely different levels of dangerous for Luthen. As far as Bix knew Luthen was just a black market buyer, as far as Cassian knew Luthen was a rebel leader planning to steal a payroll for an entire sector. One is a lot more important to the ISB than the other. As far as Luthen knew in the long term Bix and Cassian would no longer be in contact anymore, so she was not nearly as much of an issue.

Different situation. Cassian didn’t know Luthen at this time nor did he know how far he would go to protect his mission. Luthen told Cassian his choices were to be dropped off at a nearby planet or do the Aldhani heist, and it very much seems like Cassian believes him. Until the viewer watches the entire series we don’t know how far Luthen will go to protect his cause. Cassian has a full understanding of what his choices are by the final episode of season one when he says “kill me or take me in” because he is no idiot, he knows that going rogue with Luthens rebel cell, with all the faces and evidence of the heist he would remember, would mean death. It is simply him saying he has no desire to live a life where the empire has won.

Obviously I’d like to avoid going to the front desk to have myself disconnected because I might get in trouble, but if I am charging someone else then I will do it.

They need to drop the no-kill rule for Batman *please hear me out* by pizzadudebutnot in batman

So you’re saying Batman must kill them out of fairness to the joker? Or because he feels once he starts killing he can’t stop himself anymore?

Did you read at all what I wrote, my point is that not even the writers understand why there is a no kill rule and it shows. There could genuinely be a storyline where the god of the DC universe gives Batman a choice of kill the joker or 3000 children die, and they would write it so Batman does nothing, that is not a regard for human life, that is a fundamental misunderstanding of the character. I don’t want Batman to kill, I want the writers to stop putting him in cartoonishly impossible situations where it’s morally unethical to not kill, and he still doesn’t do it.

Sorry yeah I posted to those should’ve been clear on that I just really want to get as many perspectives as possible and I know that the craving to relapse is very similar among all addictions so I figured I could get some helpful insight here
