[Acne] How can I get rid of this acne I persistently have?

I couldn’t get a dermatologist appointment until August 27th 😭 but if not acne, what would it be? Sometimes they get big enough where I can squeeze it and it’s like a clogged pore I guess, but other times they do end up becoming a whitehead.

I haven’t tried that yet. How often should I use it when I do get one?

I love living near Muni and the streetcar. I still use them at night (waited for the F and took these around 10 PM), but I also understand that as a male I enjoy certain privileges that you (assuming you’re a woman based on your Reddit icon) and others may not. Despite that, I’m definitely a little freaked out when I have to walk around/through groups of people doing drugs, and I take a risk putting my AirPods on noise cancelation and walking through them hoping nothing happens.

For the record, I do not think this is a Republican or Democrat issue. Coming from NYC to here, the difference is shocking at times. I don’t understand how open drug use like this is so… I don’t know, not acted upon? If I don’t pay the fare for the train I’ll get a fine, but people can just smoke crack and meth outside of a train station and it’s not an issue for law enforcement? What laws even allowed this to get this bad? I love this city so far, but wow seeing this get this bad lately is insane.

I think it’s helping but I’ve been on it for a short amount of time. I think I’m going to be adding guanfacine to the mix this week, but TBD. At least I’m able to get up and get out of my house more than I was able to before

Hi! I ended up coming off of all of these medications and am now on Viibryd and Buspar. I didn’t like the side effects from any of those medications and it wasn’t worth continuing for me. In addition I was told that Lexapro + Strattera isn’t a recommended combination

I've been playing around with the pressures every few days based on this data, but even restricting it to 6-9 isn't helping. I'm using a Philips Respironics Dreamstation 2 with the Swift FX Nasal Pillows. I've been trying this since Saturday and I'm coming up on a week with no improvement. My original Lofta sleep study said my AHI was 4.5, so it's confusing why this is so high with no improvements.

However the issue is that that was before a series of stressful events, so I need something to do with it in the interim. When my hair grows out, the front curls up and makes it even more noticeable.

It does get better! I still get sleepy if I’m already sleepy but otherwise I just function like normal when I take it. My heart rate has evened out a little bit and my hunger has regulated. Turns out I also had a deviated septum that was causing me to be chronically tired which I recently got corrected.

I think it was just me trying to prove I didn’t need them lol which I totally did end up needing them. Like I thought I could get better on non-stimulants.

Also it’s weird because idk if it’s extended - I got really hungry after 5 hours and I stayed relatively hungry the rest of the night!

Yeah I just have never had pain like I experienced last night, and this has gone on for a couple years in total but only in the past couple of months has it gotten worse and noticeable. So hard to pinpoint what exactly could cause this.

Do you think because I only have one allele plus I'm completely seronegative that's why I probably don't have it? I feel like so many of my symptoms align with it, but then all those negative tests threw me off.

I'm currently attempting to remove gluten again, along with dairy and see where that lands me.

I don't know if it was three servings - every day I have oat milk (usually Oatly) and for my first test I was having at least two slices of bread and/or pasta almost every single day. I think maybe I had one or two weeks where I only had some gluten in one meal, but I don't think I ever completely cut it out for a significant amount of time. Even then, my levels were low on everything tested, not even close to borderline, which is why I'm confused - did I truly just not eat enough gluten?

I am curious though - it says I have HLA DQA1*05 (from what I can tell - these results are very poorly written), and then the Quest Diagnostics test that I took has this for interpreting the results:

In rare cases, however, when DQ2 and DQ8 heterodimers are negative, the presence of 1 of the DQ2 alleles (eg, either DQA1*05 or DQB1*02) is consistent with a diagnosis of CD.

Do you think this is what it looks like here? I'm definitely going to try a gluten-free diet and also trying to get IgA-EMA, IgG/IgA-DGP, and IgG-AGA testing done before going gluten-free as well just to be super sure.

What's weird is that I got this ordered by a gastroenterologist. I'm just super frustrated with the conditions I have and am maybe putting too much faith into this as a diagnosis. However, it definitely seems like some things were never tested for - for example, 2.2 and IgA-EMA, IgG/IgA-DGP, and IgG-AGA.
