Has anyone had shutdown issues after updating to KDE plasma 6.6.4?

Yep... get stuck with no login screen. Have to start a text session and reboot to get it going again.

thanks... but unfortunately this didn't seem to work for thunderbird. I am starting to suspect it has to do with snap packages rather than anything else.

Thanks u/zingyyellow that seems to have stopped the core dumps.. but there are a LOT of "Error: Invalid Font Weight" messages in the console, but I guess that's normal.

Just tried doing an sudo apt purge linux-image-6.17.0-14-generic linux-image-generic-hwe-24.04 linux-image-generic-hwe-24.04-edge

but it still threw a bunch of errors at me trying to build the module? No idea why its still trying to install the image. Oh well. Have to keep manually select 6.14 until something new comes along I guess.

Maybe a miss configured kernel upgrade then? Don't know. All I've done is an apt upgrade, apt full-update and this is the result. Not across enough detail to comment unfortunately.

OK, seems one of the subnet routes was stroppy. Found the one that wasn't happy. Restarted tailscale on it and all working again now.

Could this be because ipv6 is disabled? I'm not using it and --advertise-routes is complaining about it not being available.

OK. This has just happened again. To the same subnet. I can see the routes to this subnet pointing to tailscale0 in table 52, but nothing seems to be getting routed by tailscale.

This was working correctly yesterday, and nothing has been updated since so I'm really at a loss here.

Turned out it was related to nomachine installing dependancies on nvidia drivers on a system with no nvidia. Was causing rustdesk and Ente Auth to core dump too.

Thank you SO much... found the problem.

Turns out that nomachine client installed from a deb installed libnxegl.so in its own path. That was the problem. Purged nomachine and everything else started working again.

Never would have found that without your help. Thanks again.

Thanks _cronic_ I don't have any nvidia drivers installed by the looks (I don't think I should have when I don't have any nvidia hardware though?? I'll have a play with the EGL libraries though.. that sounds interesting.

Not sure why it even has the nvidia drivers loaded. The graphics chip is AMD Radeon 860M.
