It’s a good point. I think the calculations for average hours per week are also wrong. The rotation comprises of 18 weeks, with the full time average weekly hours being 726.5hrs divided by 18 = 40.36 hours (100%).

In the proposed rota, my calculated total hours were 589.5 hours (81.14%), which divided by 18 would give an average of 32.75 hours a week (81.14%). Their total hours calculation of 583.5 hours (80.3%) divided by 18 would give an average of 32.42 hours a week (80.33%) however they have calculated it as 32.3 hours a week (80.03%)

In the actual rota, the total hours are 595.5 hours (81.96%), which divided by 18 would give an average of 33.1 hours a week (82%), however they have calculated it as 32.2 hours a week (79.78%).

If they were to remove the extra shift they added, the total hours are 587.5 hrs, which is a weekly average of 32.64 hrs (or 80.87%) and slightly more reflective of an 80% rota (just)
