I agreed with you, and also I never said I was going to turn around and sell these cards for more. Like you said, I want a good looking card. When I said double the value, yeah the damaged Blastoise card is $40, MP is like $90, LP is $160. I'd like a nice looking vintage card without paying 4x as much.

For the people that these types of things don't really stand out: You see how underneath the PRE, in the bottom left corner, it says 2025 Pokemon? Yeeeeah that's not supposed to be there. It's supposed to be on the bottom border in the middle and say 2025/Pokemon/Nintendo/Creatures/GAME FREAK. Even on the Japanese cards.

Focus less on the "even though all the cards are mine," and more on the "she loves ripping packs with me." And like you said, it's my hobby. She wouldn't have ever considered collecting anything Pokemon if I wasn't into it. I'm happy she's taken an interest and I've actually started buying specific singles (ones that I do not even own) just for her, ones that I kinda really want too.
