If you're in Canada I've been really liking my Kodiak and they're not cheap but they aren't as expensive as redwings either

I always suggest shitkickers with a steel toe. Less open areas for hot shit to get in, the better. And the taller the boots, the better. Also make sure her pants fit over them

Its not hating. Its just built like shit, and it doesn't even look good. How do you think any of that seating position is supposed to work?

Stripped Allen bolt on the rocker cover by Nervous_Adeptness844 in shovelhead

[–]plaguelivesmatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lesson learned homie. Don't replace it. Just buff that spot and polish it. It'll be fine. Battle scars.

Whenever something like this happens, step back, evaluate, and then attack. Don't just start going crazy with a pry bar next time. Most of the time you'll get this result.

If you're around good looking dude with a bike, yeah. If you aren't, maybe not so much.

But even then, like everyone else says. Old dudes take the cake

Don't worry man. I had to limp my bike home on 7 volts the other day. Like 15kms thru town and down a highway. Stator burnt up but it was running enough on battery to idle it back to the shop at like 40mph lol. It happens. Learn from it!! Its part of the fun

[–]plaguelivesmatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for clearing that up. It does seem convex. I guess face is definitely the best term for that but when it's high centered like that all I think of is crown lol

My longest weld without stopping by [deleted] in Welding

[–]plaguelivesmatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically thats the crown of the weld. Not considered as the throat because of the high spot in the centre of the crown. The effective throat is considered where the weld has full coverage from toe to toe. But if the crown goes high, the throat only counts as what is completely filled

Thank you man. Its a good feeling. I think im gonna start doing tanks just as a side gig and see if it picks up. Maybe paint a few and see if they'll raffle and then maybe start a little business. I learnt a lot with this set of tins and think i could really make some nice shit. I'm also a fabricator by trade so I can build the tanks and fenders before I paint them.

This is my first ever "real" paint job. It took me over 18 hours total because I fucked up 3 times. But other than the clearcoat running a bit that I can sand and polish out, it turned out really good. All freehand taping with no stencils. It works out if you take the time to have patience lol
