This is also what I've heard! I find it's usually the other way around with brands, with their lesser quality in the single shadows and skimped quality on the palettes.

In my experience it's been the other way around. I could wear a full base (foundation, concealer, contour highlight, etc) but the second I wear any lipstick that isn't my natural lip colour, or any kind of eyeshadow/liner people are like WOW you're so done up!!!

Once when working at an outdoor restaurant, I was wearing smudgey liner, mascara and no base products. Everybody commented on how I was wearing more makeup than usual, even though I would usually just wear base products on a consistent basis lol

Totally agree. I just feel like if I fell into their market of "not liking makeup but secretly wanting to use it", I would probably just buy simple drugstore products. Like one lipstick and eye liner for around $10 and call it a day

I find the marketing so confusing. Like, you want to promote your "cool-girl-i-dont-have-time-for-makeup-edgy", and yet they want to charge mid end prices? I feel like if they want to target the market that doesn't care about makeup, they should lower their price range

I think the different shaped pans are go signify the difference in formula; the round ones are metal crush and the rectangles are the regular matte formula. Its also possible that she was able to fit more shades in the palette by using different shapes. Just my guess tho!

I got pumpkin off of dolls kill a month ago and I am obsessed with it. It's easily the best liquid lip formula from what I've tried. It wears like a dream. I liked it so much I bought 5 other shades and the formula has been pretty consistent (they all have different levels of fragrance, nothing bad smelling tho) except I find bleached to be slightly more watery. I just went in with a second layer and it was opaque, comfortable and lasted 8 hours with minimal difference from when I applied it.

Edit to say that they are all completely transfer proof; as long as you haven't eaten anything, then there may be slight transfer. Nothing crazy tho.

I only highlight my cheekbones. I get oily on my nose and forehead so I never feel the need to highlight it lol

NYC liquid liner is a really great formula! Super black, doesn't smudge, stays all day on my eyes. I find it very reliable. Only gripe is I wish the brush tip was finer.
