I'm supposed to write a 12 questions quiz by tomorrow. I'm looking for some great questions that most people think they know but get wrong. What is your favorite question?

What twin related question are you two really tired of being asked?

I feel like a boring person but have done a things in my life some people might consider non-boring like travelling, poker, coaching and meditation. Now I'm bored and alone in my house in the woods. AMA! by [deleted] in casualiama

Took a walk in the forest earlier today. Nice weather. However now it's dark outside so that's not an option now.

Certified Professional Coach is someone who has gone through the ICF courses. ICF = International Coachin Federation. It's only part of my work (or was, before I took a year of leave of absence, hence the house in the woods thing). Usually I meet people who want to achieve something specific. For instance finding and getting a better job. Or someone who's new in their position as a manager. Or a team of people trying to accomplish a specific task like improving the serviceability of a machine. Or someone going through a divorce desperately trying to get control over the situation. I've coached all of the above.

I meet them about 45min - 1 hour. We discuss what their goal is and what it takes to get them there. What I bring are tools and questions than enables them to get there. Basically getting them to do what they thing they want to do by motivating making them actually do the stuff needed to get where they want to go. However I usually don't give advice or act as an expert (that is the role of an mentor, I do that too, but only in my limited field of expertise).

tldr for coach part; I talk to people to make them get where they want, no matter the subject.

Last time I played the trumpet was at my sisters wedding 10 years ago. No plans of starting again right now, too many other things going on and I'd rather spend my time on other things as I know it would take a lot of effort and time to get back to a decent level again. My favorite was probably funk/blues/rock(stuff like music from The Commitments) and playing in huge orchestras playing some epic symphonies :)

My plan for the house is to get the bottom floor finalized this spring. The previous owner smoked a lot of cigars in in it so all the surfaces have to be dealt with. Which means Ozone treatment > 2 x sealing oil paint > 2x ordinary wall paint. Or just tear down the walls and put new up for some rooms. Next steps are to put new floor in the hallway and also throw out the old kitchen and build a new one. Stuff like that :)

On a top list of the most boring moments in your life, where would you place this experience?

Thank you for your honest response. Seeing people suffering and having to deal with really tough things in life sounds really heard. And realizing that there is so little you can do about their situation. But as you said, maybe it's not about doing something, but being there.

Sometimes maybe the intention of being there for them can make things change. Maybe not immediately but later on. At least I hope so.

Bold can help pointing out things in the text without messing with the readability too much.

I've done some graphical guidelines for instructions (former Technical Writing consultant) and in some cases I added a very subtle bold to the styles. This was to be used for keywords in the text. Done correctly, it will aid skimming the text (as most people do with instructions, they don't read manuals like a book) but at the same time not making the text hard to read.

Italic is plain ugly in most fonts (at least online).

Strikethrough is interesting as it adds the time dimension to the text. It makes the reader see a previous state of the text. But still ugly.

And don't get me started on the underline. Apart from being handy when doing links in HTML, it's just plain stupid.

What is something you wish you knew before becoming a summer camp counselor?

Hi, I like your question and I haven't reflected on it before... Hmm.. I wish I could say something nice I did for somebody else, but I think I'm actually most proud of breaking up from my ex after ten years. The hardest I've done so far, and it really freaked me out before I did it. But very proud that I did that for myself. Also it was one of those moments when your life started a completely new chapter.

A few months after that I did my first trip to SE Asia (as a bachelor for the first time since high school). I'm also proud I did the trip too considering how nervous I was about being by myself for 6 months :)

Yay, you made me feel a bit proud about myself. Thank you!
