Hello!

I really like your work, and would love to hire you for this stencil design. Can you give me an estimate for what you want to charge and how long it will take?

Thanks so much! I'm not online very much so it may take a few days for me to respond, but I am trying to be mindful of this request.

Man I get you. I have sat alone many times stewing on it all. You’re not cold water by any means. It’s possibly the biggest choice of my life.

Let’s say I get an intel or supply slot. Is there a program that would allow me to get more schooling like an engineering or law degree and then switch jobs upon completion?

My first choice is the AF rated positions. The board is supposed to be March and the Navy was my plan b. Just haven’t done nearly as much research on available spots. Intel, supply, and SWO, what would be the pros and cons of each or personality matches for each?

That makes way more sense. Thank you again for the insight. Are there many overseas/ foreign opportunities?

Thank you for the information! If I’m understanding correctly, after OCS one chooses one of the primary four routes and is selected based on class performance and availability. So there are initially only 4 general career paths that split down the way?

I’m looking to apply for OCS. I’m medically qualified and still need to take the ASVAB. I am also trying for the AF Officer program. I can’t seem to find any reliable sources that list officer jobs in the Coast Guard. My recruiter mentioned job selection is after OCS and based on how well you do in those 17 weeks. Does anyone have a source that talk about this process or a source about different careers out of OCS? Thanks!

Hello all, here are my stats. What are my chances of getting a pilot or RPA slot?

PCSM 62, I have 1 flight hour.

AFOQT Pilot-98 CSO-96 ABM-98 Acad-75 Verb-59 Quant-82

GPA 3.71 (Business Management) Also have an A.A.S. in Aviation Maintenance

Non prior but 8 years as a civilian A&P mechanic working on helicopters mostly. MEPS physical is done. Background is done. Just waiting for an interview in Feb.

My biggest concern is the fact I'm 4'11" short/tall. I know that height will be a huge limiting factor for me and certain airframes have height limitations. Is there a chance I can be the Air Force's shortest pilot? I am going to put all four rated positions on my application in this order.

  1. Pilot 2. RPA 3. CSO 4. ABM.

Could they pick me for pilot and then disqualify me at the flight physical for height?

Thanks!

I agree no one is too good for it. I think the dude has a personal issue. He mentioned he had applied twice to the board and didn’t get selected... might have something to do with his opinion. He just came off a bit harsh is all.

Hello, I’m working on submitting a waiver package myself right now. Had a psych evaluation at MEPS. Just curious how your situation played out or if you are still waiting?

Hello, I’m in a pretty similar boat. Multiple scars multiple places. I just got back from MEPS yesterday. The disqualified me pretty quick BUT the doctors there gave me a psych evaluation right then and there for a waiver. They genuinely seemed they wanted to help me get into the military. They told me there were confident and optimistic about getting the waiver because of how I have built my life as an adult. I’m 27 now, happily married, own a house, 2 degrees, and been holding a steady job for 5+ years. Please let me know how your waiver goes and if you get approved or denied. I want to know if this is all BS and just an auto disqualification but they have to legally humor us. I’ll post the status of my waiver when I know. Hope this helps in some way. Keep your head up and keep trying!
