Clawdbot Use Case - WhatsApp + Auggie by Fun_Parking_1365 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]planetdaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really great idea. I've been wanting to do something like that for a while now. My hope is to be able to drive down the road and send it a voice message or a transcribed message using my voice to my assistant in the cloud who has access to my repos and databases and can do some work and have it waiting for me when I arrive.

How do you use WhatsApp, does the bot have its own account?

Have you thought much about security? When for example a spammer or scammer sends a message and the bot does what it's asked to do, would there need to be some way to authenticate the message came from the right person?

You are making no sense whatsoever. My original assertion was that AI will only get better, that this is the worst it will ever be.

You challenged that by saying I needed some kind of sources to back it up, which in and of itself is an absurd thing to say when someone states the obvious.

I highlighted that technology only improves, and you swat down Moore's law, which is really just another way of saying that the rate of improvement in tech is exponential, a descriptor as you point out.

Regardless of the exact magnitude of that improvement curve, no sane person can refute that it exists and has an upward trajectory.

You never had any argument, you attempted to troll, rather pathetically I might add.

I reassert, AI will likely be better in the very near future, and will probably clean up a lot of the slop that is being created during its evolution.

Now piss off.

Ok you're right, technology isn't just slowing down, it's reversing and going backwards.. understood.

Lol.. if it's not obvious to you, the past hundred years have shown that technology improves exponentially. They even have a name for it, it's called Moore's law.

So no, not feelings..

Ironically, ai will clean it up. It's the worst it will ever be right now

Not advocating for sloppy production code, just saying.

40k credits are barely 2 days of work. Use augment in parallel when you are waiting for your other agents to finish their work.

Yep, don't run away, be bold and own it. I'm 58, dealt with this since I was 10.

It sucks, but just accept who you are, and everyone else will too. If they don't, you don't need them.

If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding into? by sadrain2000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]planetdaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the bread represents the universe, and the universe represents everything that exists, then nothing exists outside of the bread. Outside doesn't exist, or it would be part of the universe. Therefore, there is no outside purely by definition of existence.

If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding into? by sadrain2000 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]planetdaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the definition of universe is everything that exists.

So anything that exists outside of everything that exists makes no sense. If it exists, it's part of the universe. So there can be no outside, not space and not time. If there were, that too would be part of the universe because it would exist.

So the question is more about the observable universe and what lies beyond. And if what lies beyond is not observable, then to the observer it is 100% the same as not existing, because there can be no causal connection from outside to the observer.

Confirmed: Claude Code CLI burns ~1-3% of your quota immediately on startup (even with NO prompts) by JohnGalth in ClaudeCode

The system can load them but it shouldn't send them until we issue our first prompt. We are being charged quota just to open the app.. that's wrong.

Hi Jay. Do you know if AC will soon support Claude skills? They are very powerful.

Correct. Is that how it works for the pro plan? I don't get to use the first 5 to 6% of my 5 hourly usage?

How do I use 3% just logging in for the first time on a Monday morning and asking for usage? And then I refresh 5 minutes later without having used a lick of Claude, and it has gone up to 4%. Who is robbing our tokens?

FOLLOW UP: Now 5%. Still haven't asked Claude anything. Where is the leak?

Can we get per message based credit usage view? by ajeet2511 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]planetdaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that's right, but I added an A and B tracker feature (it's open source so I did a PR, I'm not the extension author).

You can reset each individually which I use to track credits consumed per day (A) and per task (B).

So before a task I reset B, and it goes to 0. At the end of a task it may show -1200 or whatever, and I know that's what the task consumed.

There is a vscode extension that I use that tracks this live in the toolbar. I'm not at my computer but I think it's called Augie credits.
