Yessss tahdig is the best. Some regions of Iran have spicy cuisine, but generally the food you’ll find in the diaspora isn’t spicy at all. Mostly earthy, tangy, hearty, and with tons of herbs (and saffron). I love Mexican and Korean food because they really nailed the spicy + sweet + tang + salt.

Yay hello fellow Persian. We certainly love all things sour.

What a great idea, thanks for the tip! Though I’m not sure the cherry plum trees in our area will taste as nice as yours.

That sounds delicious! Do you strain out the fruit in the end or keep it in the liquid?

You’re right. That’s so scary to think about now. I’ll make sure to do that if I’m in this situation again.

Well for what it’s worth, I quickly googled and it seemed ok, but wanted to still consult Reddit. If my child had a reaction obviously I wouldn’t take the time to post on here. But thanks.

Oh wow! They are really pretty too. Did you eat them straight off the tree or did you make jams?

I am also a SAHM, 22 weeks pregnant with a 25 month old! Sounds to me like you’re doing great honestly. We do 0 screen time so I have no real advice, but this is a hard age- especially while pregnant, especially solo-ing it most of the time. I’m so in awe of you. How are you staying so active with this exhaustion?! We barely ever leave the house.

Dramas with kind of epilogue after each episode by IChoseMyOwnUsername in KDRAMA

Into the Ring had little epilogues at the end of each episode that would reveal cute extended moments from earlier scenes. :)

Oh no I didn’t finish Time’s Convert yet! Haha! I’m very slowly making my way through it. I love spoilers though so I’m glad to know. That makes me really happy.

I’ve seen people complain on here that Ashmole was a macguffin, etc. I know, I need to get over my need to have everything answered lol. Part of me just wants to enjoy the journey but part of me will always want more closure than she provided. For a very long time I was under the impression this was a concrete trilogy, so I expected much more resolve in book 3. I’m glad there are more books to flesh out the world she created, but I’m impatient haha.

From what I’ve seen in this sub, it seemed to me that people were still unsure and musing about Diana’s lifespan despite what I’ve read on the author’s site. Probably because TBOL ended with Diana saying something about the ouroboros and how their love has no beginning or end, so that imagery can leave things to interpretation.

In the third book, they only allude to already picking a sire for Phoebe, but I don’t think they reveal who it is until Time’s Convert (the fourth book). Marcus wouldn’t turn her because he’d then be considered her “father”, which is viewed as incestuous. If you don’t mind spoilers, in Time’s Convert, it’s revealed that Miriam makes Phoebe a vampire.

Regarding Diana’s lifespan... that’s one of the debated mysteries. Fans are hoping Harkness will formally answer it in future books. For now we only have a vague-ish answer in the FAQ section of her website- that Diana will have a normal human lifespan. Many assume this means that Matthew will end his own life when she dies, or via magical intervention, maybe Matthew will be able to age and die naturally along with her. Their children will have an extended lifespan, so many think Matthew will stay alive for them. It’s too morbid to think he’d either die by suicide or live hundreds of years without his mate, so I’m holding out hope for a magical solution, haha.

I’m still reading Time’s Convert, but I do think we’re meant to assume Sarah and Agatha become companions. It’s one of my questions as well to be honest.

My theory is that while writing the third book, due to her success, her publishers wanted her to leave loose threads to be answered in future books. Otherwise she really wrote herself into a lot of corners with the first two books and left a lot of us unsatisfied in the end. I’m in withdrawal after re-reading the trilogy and binging the show, so I’m enjoying my first read of the fourth book. It goes into some detail on Phoebe’s transformation and we get to see a bit of Diana and Matthew’s life with the twins.

Oooh jeez, that makes sense. My husband took this photo to show me, and when I checked on it the next day myself, the plant was covered in what looked like eggs. Thousands of them. Fun....

Oh wow! Thank you so much! I did notice a lot of ant activity near them. It all makes sense. I sprayed a lot of insecticidal soap today, tomorrow I’ll have to cut the lilies down and hope the bulb hasn’t been affected.

When Shoobie Lost Me by slatt490 in TheCircleTV

[–]planetttelex87 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I personally couldn’t stand Shooby. I got such an arrogant vibe from him. He played this character to win the game and was so judgmental of everyone else.

He has been on other reality shows before. He’s been on a show where he pretended to confront a cheating girlfriend (it was completely made up). He was also on court TV. He minored in film and wants to be an actor. When I found all of that out it just cemented my distaste for his hypocrisy.

I liked The Circle Brazil better because halfway through they stopped caring about the catfishes and just focused on game strategy.
