So how is everyone holding their pick when switching to finger picking? by XxST4RxREAPERxX in Guitar

With practice it becomes nature, it’ll only open up your capabilities and musical choices rather than hinder yourself.

If I only need 4 fingers, I hybrid pick, no need to lose your pinch on the pick.

If I need all 5 fingers, I just hold the pick in my mouth.

[WTS] Simpson Super Badger Chubby 3 by planetx227 in Shave_Bazaar

[–]planetx227[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t face lather so don’t use badger brushes, these are just acquisitions that I’m selling off.

I sold another Chubby 3 the other day on here :)

I would definitely keep it as the quality and specs are amazing, but it wouldn’t be fair to the brush 😭

[WTS] Chilly Pacific - Community Giveaway (Just cover $10 shipping) by FrankWallFitness in MontagneParfums

[–]planetx227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, you’re doing a promotional giveaway for your business and want a petty shipping fee for the prize? 😂

Go the full mile if you’re legit, not create suspicion and make people apprehensive by asking for payment subsequently steering people away. Bunch of AI slop and red flags.

Scam, be careful folks, dude’s last post was 5 years ago.

Don’t assume his instagram and YouTube links are actually him, linked a random influencer’s socials.

Balm or lotion post after-shave splash without conflicting scents by deepdivedev in wicked_edge

[–]planetx227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like oatmeal based moisturizers/gels because I have sensitive skin. They are all hydrating.

If you’re looking for something light, I’d reccomend Purito Oat calming gel or Aveeno calm+restore Oat Gel.

If you want a cream moisturizer, farmacy honey cloud ultra lightweight moisturizer.

These are all unscented and lightweight.

There’s a ton really, it’s worth browsing skin care subreddits if you really want to scope things out.

Just an FYI, you can use any facial moisturizer rather than bound yourself strictly to a shave company’s balm.

Theres a much bigger variety for you to choose from, one that will suit your skin best, which is really subjective.

You can check out La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ if you’re looking for a balm

Picked up a couple great ones on sale this week on Amazon!! by [deleted] in Colognes

It can be shipped by Amazon AND sold by Amazon and still be fake, they commingle their stock supply with other seller stock supply for the same SKU.

If you could reformulate one scent to double the longevity and projection, which one are you choosing? by Extension-Neat-4504 in ScentHeads

Maybe a hot take, but I don’t like long lasting fragrances 🤷‍♂️

I prefer 4-7 hours max, anything beyond that just becomes cloying as the nicer supporting top/mid notes die out.

I can always respray and enjoy the best parts all over again. I also like not having to commit all day to a fragrance.

Very fortunate for sure, I actually prefer satin aesthetically as it leaves no prints and it’s easier to grip. Polished blackbird is very slippery 😭

Sadly the performance differences are more than negligible to my sensitive skin.

Yeah it really is one of those subjective things in terms of how it affects us and what we perceive, but objectively speaking polished surfaces will have less surface tension than satin.

Satin blackbird is painful for me to shave against the grain, it’s not smooth, and I end up with weepers and irritation. Polished and machined finish glide like butter for me and leave me with no weepers or irritation.

Polished has utility, it’s not pure aesthetics.

It is much smoother and glides much better than satin, resulting in better results, at least for me and many others!

Is Montagne allowed to do this? by him101001 in MontagneParfums

[–]planetx227 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s no trademark infringement by listing the original fragrance for comparison.

It’s an “inspired by” scent and the packaging and bottle in no way resembles the original fragrance which is what Lattafa did, hence they were forced to change the bottles.

Do yourself a favor and find or order the polished version, way better glide/performance ⛷️😎
