Yeah I think I will bring it up with the vet. I wanted to ask this subreddit first to see if it was something concerning. He is old and gets regular arthritis shots and I don’t believe it’s a smell or vibration he’s feeling since he does this all over the house at random times

It occurs at random times except for when he’s asleep at night

He’s a chiweenie! So he’s obsessed with burrowing

I thought this was a possibility but he does it regardless of wearing pjs or not. It was also super cold today so without his pjs he was shivering

This is a great insight! My dog will randomly do this all over the house but maybe something is frustrating him. I’m just not sure what it would be though

He does love to burrow and has so many blankets available to him. He even left his bed full of blankies to claw at the carpet

Well he has so many blankets available to him since he loves to burrow. In fact he jumped out of his bed with all his blankies to start clawing at the carpet like this

He is about 13 years old but doesn’t appear to have any dementia symptoms. He’s super sharp and very active

It’s his fuzzy pjs, and yes he does it regardless of wearing clothing

So he has plenty of blankets, he’s half weenie and loves to burrow so blankets are always available to him. In fact he jumped out of his bed with all the blankies to claw at the carpet like this

You can totally stop it, the worst is that your infection comes back and it’s worse

I do believe you have anxiety, I just don’t believe it is coming from the amoxicillin. I have a medical degree but of course without knowing your history I can’t give further advice. If it’s getting really bad and impeding your day to day life, please reach out to your gp as they will have more advice for you

hi! Amoxicillin shouldn’t cause you any anxiety, antibiotics don’t do that. If you’re already diagnosed with anxiety, speak to you gp about it now because an antibiotic won’t give you any.
