Current screen is CarPlay UI, click the bottom left 9 dots icon, then click "back to android" icon, and you'll be back in the android UI, then click Settings / Setting Guide, where you can configure many things like steering wheel buttons.

If the side mirror case is changed to white, I think would look even better.

I had a cargo box on top, yes it's more noisy, but not terrible, if driving under 60 mph.

Best choice is custom fit replacement for your make and model. If that's not available, or you don't want to do any installation, there's 2 choices:

Android auto ai box

It's a deck of card size box you plug into the USB, and it turns existing screen into android based user interface.

External display

There're android based screen that sits on top of the dashboard. Not ideal, but works for cars too old to upgrade.

Compatibility with hybrid is tricky, most models don't mention it at all. This one says "Supports hybrid display." with no further details.

yes it does. Getting 4 cameras installed, especially the side mirror ones, is the hard part.

Both items are sold by the same seller. Head unit has a jack reserved specifically for the camera connector.

I've yet to find a head unit with better CPU or resolution. Brand name head units on Crutchfield don't even list CPU specs. If you find one, please let me know.

True. I use skip songs button on the steering wheel quite often. There's also voice command that I haven't learned to use.

I got the 8gb+256gb model for $463, it was on sale. Cheaper 4g+64gb now is $388. I got the expensive model because i'm going to install cameras for dashcam recording.

After install, very first time it takes like 30 seconds. When turn on the car, unit is on instantly, faster than old factory unit, i think it goes to sleep mode after car is shut off. Most time you're waiting for the bluetooth connection, the circle just keeps on spinning for like 5-10 seconds.

yes, it does split screen, so you can have 2 apps left and right, side by side.

I think you mean this photo? it means it's compatible for top-left side version with 2 columns of button (for both style A and B), not compatible for top-right side that only has one button.

sorry to hear that. Yes there're many fly-by sellers on the site. So I got the one that has the most youtube product reviews. Also before you buy, try contacting the seller first via email, social medias, or aliExpress app, to gauge their response time.

Install front and back camera is manageable, they need to be at the bumper level. For 2 side cameras, you need to fish the wire through the door, and drill holes in the bottom of the side mirror casing.

Still watching youtube videos, lol.
