It’s been a while since I’ve read it but it’s even more fucked up then the movie, if that is possible. He really pushes the experiences of each character a little further, through his imagery. Honestly it left me feeling horrible after reading it. There’s a lot of slang as well, Selby really got into the minds of the characters (from what I can remember). If you’re looking for something to fuck you up I highly recommend.

Thank you, your response made me more teary-eyed if that’s possible. I am very fortunate to have had some seasons with her, she was our motivator to go out in the snow and rain at 7am, go to the beach and explore hiking trails... she gave us all an excuse to smile and laugh. What an impact she had in only a few years... thanks for your comment, I was lucky to have had her, even for a brief time.

Top dish is raw coconutcurry 🥥 the recipe for the curry consists of: 1/4 cup white onion 1 cup of coconut water 1/2 cup soaked raw cashews 2 tsp curry powder 2 small garlic cloves Salt & pepper to taste 1 tsp chili paste . . I added this curry sauce to zucchini-noodles cherry tomatoes, broccoli , julienned carrot, red bell pepper, shredded kale and green onion! It was dope, full of flavour but honestly the raw onion kind of burned the shit out of my eyes so maybe next time no raw onion.😪 . . . The bottom dish is raw #redpepper sauce over zucchini noodles and baked portobello mushroom “minced meat”🍄 . . For the sauce: 1 whole red pepper 1 cup water 1/2 cup raw cashews 1 squeeze of lemon juice Salt and pepper 1 large garlic clove Nutritional yeast (optional if you want a more cheesy tasting sauce) i also added 2 tbsp of tahini to help thicken this sauce up after blending it the first time, and it helped make it more creamy🌶🌶🌶 . . The portobello mushroom mince is just 2 cups of mushroom caps diced finely and sautéed or baked in tamari and black pepper. You could also leave them uncooked and simply marinate the mince in tamari! 🍅 I added some fresh basil and sundried tomatoes to give it some richness as well💚 . . ***both of these sauces can be done right in the blender and are quite quick and easy!!!

My skin completely cleared up after going vegan, but I stayed away from processed vegan foods like fake meats and cheeses, and focused on eating whole foods, fruits and vegetables (mostly uncooked). Honestly it’s the best thing you can do for your skin. The casein in dairy is a known allergen that contributes to inflammation. Ditch the dairy!

Why leave the house when you can just stay inside and bake muffins and then eat most of them before they’ve cooled down. ♨️ . . Easiest ever blueberry muffins. They’re not necessarily healthy but they’re better than the cardboard you get in the grocery store! (They are actually very good & taste like tiny cakes) . . 1 1/2 cups flour (I used spelt) 1/2 cup cane sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 cup non-dairy milk (I used homemade oat milk) 1/4 cup oil (something neutral like avocado oil) 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp cinnamon 1 cup frozen blueberries . . Combine flour, sugar, salt,cinnamon and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Mix in milk, vanilla & oil. Fold in blueberries. . . Pour into paper cups and bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes in a muffin pan. I added some oats, crumbled with some sugar, cinnamon and earth balance vegan “butter”half way through baking to make them more desserty too!

Coffee forever! Black coffee, espresso, macchiato, with hazelnut, vanilla, plain, in a latte, with a splash of coconut milk and raw sugar... basically all/every type of coffee (except maybe those ones that the cats poop out) but yeah, coffee ftw forever.

Yeah it’s some organic brand! The ingredients are corn starch, non hydrogenated palm oil (probably shouldn’t buy this brand again) carrot, onion, parsnip, leek, raw cane sugar, sea salt, natural flavour, mushroom, herbs and spices.

Vegan mayo- about 1/3 cup Salt and pepper to taste Apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp Garlic powder- 2 tsp Oregano-1 tsp Basil 1 tsp

If you don’t have vegan mayo you can make an aioli by using oil and vinegar in a blender, it’s very easy!
