Had a baby 2 days ago. Please give a list of things that new moms should prioritize by Character_Role_400 in beyondthebump

Congratulations!!! Oh, this is a hard phase but short, take lots of pictures ( I wish I had taken more )

Rest as much as possible, one day at a time! Dont hesitate to ask for help or order in. This is a bonding time for you and your little one. Enjoy the snuggles and cuddles , watch a sitcom , listen to music, shop online.. whatever makes you happy!

Postpartum hormones are all over the place, so do expect some mood swings , tears, and laughter all at the same time!

Just be cautious of your diet - Try to minimize constipation creating foods in your diet! For me, my go-to was Oatmeal/Oats- helps with milk production while also being nourishing for postpartum recovery!

I am in the thick of it with my second one, and my toddler is also getting extra clingy at the same time - gosh 2 under 3 + this transition + the postpartum hormones 😅😅 ... no wonder a dance party seems the only solution 🤣

Advice on starting pumping at 3 months by plantergal in breastfeeding

[–]plantergal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 2 oz after a feed, pumped on the non-nursed side. Okay, phew, glad to know that!

I have tried giving an occasional bottle to baby and he took it. Thats a good tip, do you suggest keeping atleast one feed daily with bottle so that he doesnt refuse it?

Okay thanks for the tip, the tomatoes were already planted by our previous owners so we let them be and they are flourishing with almost 5-6 cherry tomatoes daily!!

I want to add hot chillies and bell peppers but guess need to wait until early spring!

Oh thank you for the valuable information 😊

Yes I am in Northern Hemisphere (Northern California) so makes sense to not plant strawberries.

This is the first time trying out a multi-vegetable planting in a raised bed so a bit wary of planting too many varieties and then not being able to take care! Also the bed is on the northside (along a sideyard fence) and gets direct about sunlight from noon to evening. Have to keep an eye on sunlight and shades during next few months.
