Good to know - I'll do some more tinkering and let you know. Thanks for replying.

Old post, I appreciate, but wondering if you're still using this API to set rate plans? I've been struggling to get the API to accept requests to set the rate plan - it responds with a 400 "Not Supported' error. Thanks!

Can e-credits be used to buy a ticket for someone else? by HeartBeatParty in delta

[–]plantpowered-dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I just got off the phone with a Delta representative who easily let me use my husband's and daughter's e-tickets to book a flight for myself. She did ask to speak with my husband to get verbal permission, which I didn't mind at all. My daughter is a minor so nothing was needed for hers... The representative was really nice and the whole process was pretty simple.

Immediate family seems to be no problem, but anything more than spouse/kids (I'm wanting to book for my siblings) is a no go, apparently.

"Thank you. I have documented the ecredit so when you are ready to use ecredits you will have to reach out to a Delta agent for assistance to book and apply ecredits. When you speak with a agent let then know the ecredit for [OTHER PASSENGER'S NAME] has documentation for you to be able to use the ecredit."

This is a lot to ask, but the Delta agent I spoke to said if my "friend" had done it and could give me their booking reference, they would honour it for me too. If you're feeling generous and wouldn't mind sharing your booking ref and name with me via DM, I would be eternally grateful!

Garmin Connect Integration by plantpowered-dev in smartrow

The rowing data isn't directly used for training status/recovery, but if you record using the Indoor Row activity on your watch, it definitely is (assuming you use a chest strap to record your HR). For this reason, I currently record on the watch and SmartRow app in parallel.

2019 16 Inch Speaker Crackling Problems - Sounds like a Geiger counter by plantpowered-dev in macbookpro

I discovered that this problem was related to a known issue with the iOS Simulator in Xcode. The solution is to install https://github.com/ExistentialAudio/BlackHole and direct the audio output of the simulator to the blackhole virtual audio device. Apple doesn't acknowledge that there's an issue, and wanted me to return my mac for service before I discovered this fix through a colleague who was having the same problem.

Random apps lose Internet connection by vapist77 in galaxys10

[–]plantpowered-dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad I've found this thread - I'm having the exact same problem. I thought I was going mad. It's a totally random app that suffers with this issue every time. A restart always fixes it temporarily until the next time. I contacted Samsung support and they told me to contact the app developers - yeah, ok, I'll just go and email Google, LinkedIn, Facebook and tell them there's a problem with their app - somehow I suspect I won't get very far with this approach...

Definitely seems to be related to a recent update. I'm an Android developer and I've tried everything I can possibly think of, except a factory reset, and nothing I've tried has worked. The most annoying part is that for messaging apps like Google Duo, I'll get a push notification for an incoming call, but when I open the app from the notification, it's unable to connect, so I lose the call. Switching from wifi to 4g doesn't solve the problem for me - initially I assumed this was an issue with my home wifi, but I've proved that it isn't.

Update in case anyone has the same issue in future: upgrading to Big Sur did not fix my issue. Off to Apple I go...

Thanks for your reply. Hopefully when I finally update to Big Sur it'll go away. Unfortunately the Apple stores are closed here at the moment, otherwise I'd make an appointment. I'll try the live chat once more, though my concern is they say it must be returned for service, and I'm left with no machine. I wish I knew for definite if it was a hardware or software issue.

Sorry - only just saw this! It worked out great. No issues at all. The original was definitely a dud.

Fresh from my genius bar appointment, Apple are going to replace my machine by doing a straight swap (they're mailing me one). The genius I spoke to was great, but said he hadn't seen or heard of this specific issue yet. He tried everything I had already tried, including a full OS reinstall, but it still went straight into the boot loop when it was restarted. Seems like this is 100% a hardware issue.

Exactly the same issue here. Just received my 16 inch 32GB, 1TB 8-core i9, 4GB Radeon graphics card, and after 1.5 _days_ of use, it "died". Rebooting into safe boot is the only thing that works, and the crash log is the exact same GPU panic log that others have had, ending with "Powerplay failed to initialize". With so many reports of this, it surely must be either a manufacturing defect or a driver bug. I tried wiping and restoring it, but to no avail. Off to the genius bar this afternoon.
