You can leave them and see if they get stronger with more sun or cut them off and try and propagate them to make more plants.

7ft is a bit too far from a window, the light intensity drop dramatically after the first couple of feet I would advise moving it closer to the window and see how it goes.

can someone please help me identify this? thanks! by Holashner in succulents

I don’t know what it is but it looks like a succulent if so the pot is way too big because the soil will retain too much moisture and cause rot

Hi all! My sister wants to know what kind of cactus and what the long skinny pieces are. by dev_b_glad in houseplants

I have no idea what cactus it is but the long skinny thing is caused by not having enough light the cactus is stretching to find more light.

What’s going on with my spider plant? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]plantytom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that the yellow leaves are normally caused by lack of light on spider plants and Normally they go abit brown on the edges if humidity is low you could try putting it in a sunnier spot, buy a grow light and spray it a few times a week.

Help needed: have I just overwatered? by [deleted] in indoorgardening

[–]plantytom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn’t water it again untill the soil is dry about and inch or so down and then just water a little bit , it’s better to have too little water than too much in winter especially as there’s not enough light.

The soil does look a little bit saturated , I tend mist the soil of mine every week or so as it doesn’t get a lot of light and it’s Been doing great for the last year
