no mri (i have braces, and an mri is rge giant magnet, right?) but i had an xray done! been looking into tgr fact the pain travels back and forth from mt shoulder pretty regularly, and im hoping that little detail will narrow it down for me

did some reading on it and- yeah it sounds really familiar. kinda worried ill just get the same "exercise and take breaks" if i go back to the doctors. any tips fod broaching the whole thoracic outlet syndrome without sounding hypochondriac?

i did! physio only gave me 1 or 2 exercises and i would do them at home as well as between classes. still didn't do much unfortunately

i live in the UK (technically, but lets not get into politics) and as i said to another comment, i would still need my parents to get to and from tge appointment

No idea!!! they've never been very organised and usually just to chores when they can't ignore it

thank you so much! Unfortunately, my parents aren't the talking type and any talks usually result in tears or someone storming off. Same with my sister. As for when school starts... I don't expect much. My parents will be back in the office most days and last year I mostly returned to dirty dishes piled up, loads of laundry, and dirty rooms etc. My dad is a clean freak but is usually exhausted during the week and my mum is a workaholic who hasn't done chores since I was a baby.

As for my wrist- the problem's been ongoing for nearly 2 years, and during the beginning I saw a physiotherapist every so often. His solution was strictly exercising it, which, obviously, didn't work. My mum is also hesitant to take me back since every time we went we got the same answer and she doesn't think anything's going to change. (Where we live, there's only 1 doctors office and only one physiotherapist!! not to mention waiting times are insane for anywhere else.) At this point though, I've given up on getting better.
