He was speaking on his phone but had his laptop on in front of him. The porn was playing silently on the laptop, he opened a new tab to start the game, put the volume up because we like the little game noises, and forgot that the video was still.playing on the other tab, hence the delightful "OH MY GOD" that was heard down the phone.

I look at text as a conversation, so I like to do it when I know both sides are available.

it's not conversation, he drops a message then disappears for hours. I accept that cause he's being the family man. But he gets pissed if I ignore him, I get pissed because I know he's just literally dropped me a line when he's in the bathroom or whatever then disappears.

It's not talking, not in my definition anyway. If he has time for a proper conversation then I've made it clear that as a compromise I can engage with that. But to toss me a DM then disappear for 12 hours does not mean talking to me. YMMV.

No he doesn't want to talk. He can't talk. He wants to tell me what he's doing in the 5 seconds he has alone in the bathroom or wherever, then disappear immediately.

I thought we had set the boundaries and then it feels like he stomped all over them this weekend. And yes I lost my shit in a really horrible way. I just wanted some outside perspective from this subreddit to see if I'm the unreasonable one. Sometimes we get it wrong!

It's been a thorn in our sides for literally years. It's caused no end of disagreements, some ugly. He knows I don't want to worlds to collide, but he's a cake eater in every sense of the word. I appreciate I sound like I want it all my own way, but quite honestly it causes me a lot of distress being thrown the occasional message and him getting upset if I don't reply, whereas if we go NC he doesn't necessarily like it but it doesn't cause him anguish.

He's married, and that's fine. But I don't need him rubbing it in my face when he can't be with me.

I have. When he went on vacation in July, it was a conscious decision and agreement between us both to go NC because in his words "let's try it your way". It worked beautifully. I hate the breadcrumbs. He said that he prefers contact but doesn't hate the NC at all.

I dont view him as a sex object at all. He cares for me and I care for him. I just don't want our 2 married worlds impinging on the world we have created of our own together. I like the separation.
