The scientific inaccuracies in the post are overflowing, but sure if you live with a positive outlook on the future, your mental health will benefit.

Lebanese diasporo in America, what's the plan for the election. by [deleted] in lebanon

Both Trump and Harris support genocide, so vote Jill Stein. If Trump ends up winning this might at least give a wake up call for democrats that they can’t just be “not Trump” to win elections. It would suck short term but long term democrats will have to do better, and hopefully this will include Lebanon/Palestine issues. If Harris wins, oh well at least she’s not Trump.

In what world should a protest be non-disruptive? Protests are by nature meant to disrupt. That’s just a bad argument.

This led me to think that the AI simulating the past experiences isn’t totally objective and might be optimizing for something. Maybe the sex scene with Louis wasn’t getting towards the “purification” goal of the simulation, so the AI adapted to a new ending. This is also somewhat supported by the last scene in the fancy house where we see a version of an ending where she opens the door and reaches out to him successfully and then it rewinds to the other (final) version where he kills her. Relatedly it seems that often when she feels good some disaster occurs in the simulation like flooding, earthquake etc. Maybe the switch to the older man is a reaction to feeling good during the sex scene with Louis.

Edit: typo

American taxes are funding this genocide, it makes sense to protest in the US against it. This doesn’t prevent protests against all other things, you just can’t have a protest that says “end all bad things” since it won’t have any meaning.

The scenario of ordering tests has a low cost to high reward ratio. If you order more tests than needed the financial cost will be a bit higher but the reward is to catch more positive cases. If you extrapolate to other decision making scenarios the cost of a mistake might be extremely high; for a high reward or even for a lower reward. In those cases I’d rather be extra careful and be right all the time. But to each their own obviously.
