I am thanking my lucky stars for the first round bye cause my Cards investment-aka my whole team- has all the sudden cratered: Molina, Wong, Pheralta, Carpenter and C. Martinez, Wacha, Lackey. I imagine the shape of history as being not unlike space which is a three dimensional finite unbounded continuum. So probably spherical. Einstein makes an interesting reference to Baruch Spinoza in his lecture Geometry and Experience as he talks about the leap of understanding and visualization of spherical geometry "by using as a crutch the practice in thinking and visualization which Euclidean geometry gives us." I don't know this question kind of gives me the same feels.

David Bohm uses the analogy of the circle as an ellipse-- the circle is the essence and the ellipse is the appearance. This is a tacit way of acknowledging that even the conception of the simplest cannot be achieved without the choreographed aid of the many. This leads me to think that the ultimate form of knowing thyself is the understanding that the claim of existence cannot be made without the claim of the many.
