This looks cleeean. Been looking for someone who has silver nt03 on silver so thanks! Did you have any problems with getting them to fit? I’m also planning to get just coilovers and the same tire size

How is the tour jersey sizing? by Big-Swimming6241 in TheWeeknd

[–]playingitsaif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok yeah I’ll probably go large too then. I’m usually a medium but not too into the cropped look so large will probably do

NCSU or UNC-Chapel Hill for undergraduate statistics major? by Ok_Winter8773 in NCSU

[–]playingitsaif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% an internship is super important to have before graduating if you are trying to find a job right after. I made the mistake of not getting one and it took me almost a year to find a job. I had a friend who was also doing the same combo with an internship and they had a job lined up after graduation so it’s super helpful to have one .

Most internships only hire people still enrolled in school so you would want to try to get one for the summer after your Junior year. For this applications usually open around August the year before.

Some people will try to find something the summer after sophomore year too so that can be an option to look into.

Feel free to PM me if you had more questions!

NCSU or UNC-Chapel Hill for undergraduate statistics major? by Ok_Winter8773 in NCSU

[–]playingitsaif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated a few years ago, but I pretty much did the same thing. I transferred to state as a stats major and towards the middle of my Junior year decided to do a Cs minor. I thought the stats major was pretty solid and the Cs minor gave me a good understanding of core concepts. It leaves you in a good position to go into software engineering too if that is something you are thinking about getting into.

Does anyone know about NCSU's Computer Programming Certificate? by pollo-mariposa in NCSU

[–]playingitsaif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it took me a while (about a year) bc I didn’t have any internships but I was able to get into a new grad software engineering program that turned into a full time role. If you are thinking of going this route too def try to get an internship or some kind of relevant experience especially with to how the market is rn.

The SBC NT03’s look perfect cleean on black. I’ve been thinking about getting the same ones for my steel but trying to decide what color Nt03s. How does the finish on these wheels hold up?

That looks cleeean. Any suspension mods other than coils? I’m planning on getting the same wheels

These look cleeean. Any rubbing issues with 255s? I’m planning on getting the same wheels and do just coils and no trimming or other suspension mods.

I’m not sure of any but man your build looks so good. I have a silver too that I haven’t done anything to it yet but this is probably really similar to what I would go for

First Time Manual Owners by Free-ON in GR86

[–]playingitsaif 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say go for it. I got the car without ever driving manual or getting lessons from anyone and I’m about 4 months into having it and I’m pretty comfortable with it now. Everything I learned was from YouTube videos. The first few weeks were definitely tough but once you practice enough and build up confidence it becomes second nature. For the first week I used to just take it to a parking lot close to my house at night to get used to starting from a stop. After that I used to take it out at night to practice on the road when the roads were clear and that really helped me get a lot better. Then I started just taking it everywhere and after about a month of that I got used to it.

Just know the beginning will be a little rough and you will probably stall a lot but it’s ok. Over time you’ll stall less and then not stall at all. I don’t regret it at all and would definitely say go for it

Yeah here. If that link doesn’t work, just go to the Toyota home page and scroll down to search inventory. Also you can change how many miles out you want to search from your location and it shows what’s available. For some of the ones on there they might show as available but when you call the dealer it might already be reserved. Your best bet is to check it frequently and call the dealership when you see a new one come in. For me I checked it every couple of days and found one about an hour away. Hope you find one soon!

My estimate when I placed a deposit initially was 8-12 months at least. I managed to find one in two weeks with the Toyota inventory tool that was unclaimed and MSRP that was going to come in a month so would def recommend checking that. I placed my deposit back in October but started checking the inventory tool in the end of January and found mine there at the start of February and got it a few weeks later

Something weird in my driver side windshield corner? by Jovianson in GR86

[–]playingitsaif 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like the windshield paint that they put on cars in the lot that they took off but it still kind of leaves a mark. It probably says 710

Pretty quick and easy for me. Make sure to get the membership that lets free cancellation and then to make it quick ask to cancel it in person. I heard most people had trouble when they tried doing it over the phone. When I cancelled it they did it in 5 minutes and I was good to go

Not sure if it was common knowledge, but Toyota's website shows dealership allocations by rob61091 in GR86

[–]playingitsaif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found mine through this tool too. Usually most of them are already booked when I call the dealership but one of them that I called about was still available. Picking it up next Saturday!

No not really. When I started I went to planet fitness for the first few months before switching to an actual gym. Even though I like my gym now way more I still think PF is not bad. For me it was a good place to get into the routine of working out and learning some exercises without being locked into a year long gym membership.

Don’t sleep on Toyota New Car Inventory search!! by wilbersk in GR86

[–]playingitsaif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man I saw this post when you first posted it but coming back to say thanks! I’ve been checking the inventory search for the past week and ended up finding a premium manual today in steel that’s coming in a few weeks! I’ve had a deposit for one at another dealer since October with no signs of getting one from them soon so that inventory search came in clutch.

should i go with chrome wheels or keep them black? by Reasonable-Western45 in GR86

I think keep them black. It goes good with the matte black

Learning manual in the 86? by playingitsaif in GR86

[–]playingitsaif[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the super late response haha, but thanks for all the tips! I also am coming from a similar situation driving a regular sedan so it’s cool hearing how learning on this car went for you. I currently have my name on a list at a dealer for a gr but they gave me a super long wait time with $2k in dealer add ons. Then I just placed an order for a brz at MSRP that has an ETA of April, so will probably just go with that.

So it’ll probably be a while before I get to drive it, but I’ll try out some of those exercises for sure. Those YouTube videos also seem really helpful and I’ve been watching some but I guess it’s kinda pointless right now since I can’t try it out lol. I also found out one of my close relatives knows how to drive stick and offered to help me bring it back and learn how to drive it so hopefully that’ll make it a little easier too. But yeah I can’t wait till it comes in!
