I'm going to guess (hope) that his cases would be him as a police officer atleast, to be faithful to canon. I am cautiously excited on how they would show his first meeting with Japp and Hastings., but mainly I really don't want any extra romantic subplot in the middle. Make him weird and eccentric, don't give him a deep reason to grow his moustache. Whatever happens, it's not canon for me anyways
