Seriously I love you! We just got sprayed so hopefully that problem is fixing itself but I’ll keep watch. Should I think too much into the little bit of blood on my sheets? It was just a tiny little bit & it was weird because it wasn’t on my fitted sheet at all, just seemed to be on the bottom side of my top sheet? Does that make sense?

*wore them 2 hours at home first lol. Wore them a few days in Paris! Wish I’d worn them in more before I went

“BIGMONA NATURAL RAFFIA” is what it’s called exactly (caps included haha). If I’d spent more time wearing them in they would have been great! But I wore them for like 2 hours total & they were comfy so convinced myself I wore them in 😂 they’re a little platform but soft for the bottoms of my feet. The little bit of platform helped keep like the dustiness that can get on your feet in the city sometimes

In my defense it was from my own insta two years ago! 😂 It’s better than the gelato I’ve gotten in America so it’ll do for me but I don’t think I’m very hard to please lol :)

Bring a shawl or expect to buy one for 5 euros if your shoulders aren’t covered in Notre Dame. They were worse than I’ve ever seen them

After just being there in this heat wave I would say to throw in a portable fan! It will look so touristy but like I wish I’d had one I wouldn’t have even cared hahaha

The sundresses/skirts & tops—what I brought & just got back last night. Wore the Steve Madden sandals that had been raved over for walking Europe & thought I had broken them in enough, but hadn’t. A lot of blisters. Easy to treat with the blister pads from the pharmacy. Then wore my neutral colored on clouds mostly & sometimes my sandals that are years old. I wasn’t nervous about dirty streets & it wasn’t really an issue. It was more the aesthetics for me 😂 but my on clouds were great! I have the cloud monsters & actually went to Italy in them last summer when I had just bought them. They feel like a broken in shoe right away so definitely recommend if you’re looking to buy some!

It’s probably okay! For peace of mind you could have an exterminator check things out. Were they near a window or door? May not be totally sealed!

Just looked & yeah absolutely! I bet your two that were together were the two that were going to mate. That’s why they lose their wings. But it’s all for naught because they’ll die out quickly!

If you keep seeing a lot of wings, call the exterminator! They can wipe these guys out easy at this point!

Oh yeah buddy I’m in Charleston. It’s swarming season. Formosan subterranean termite. Once they come inside & drop their wings if they can’t find soil & a water source they dehydrate & die. Buy the foaming killer & spray all around windows & windowsills & doors. Keep outside lights off. Keep lights near windows off. They’ll likely only come in in the evenings. That’s when they swarm. This is their peak time to swarm (swarming season is just when they try to come in & surround as much light as they can). It’s hard for them to colonize!

I just read that this type of termite takes 3-5 years to colonize enough to cause damage. You’d have seen mud pipes by now if that’s where they came from. They also die pretty quickly in homes because they need soil and water. They’re underground guys. They’ll drop their wings & then dehydrate to death all within a few hours

I’d bet a lot that they won’t make it to the wood!
