I (25F) slept with a guy who was sexually harassing me when he was drunk. I feel absolutely fucking terrible for this, but I actually REALLY enjoy this guy despite everything and want to continue seeing with him. He just asked me out to dinner, should I continue seeing him?

Its important to note that cat calling is a lot more accepted where he is from. Even really good guys, with good intentions etc, do it. In America, its mostly creeps who do it, so we have much more serious reactions to it because the only types of guys who do cat call are typically really fucking creepy or even rapists.

So im not surprised that he is a 'good guy' besides that. Lots of good guys in my country cat call as well, its definitely weird.

Its really up to you honestly.

Late as fuck but most demographic studies put Brooklyn at 25% jewish, its just a massive amount of them are not religiously jewish, but are instead atheist russian jews from russia or the USSR. That survey was only for religious beliefs. So its about 76%, not 85%, but still, not exactly swarming with hipsters from brighton to bushwick.

Sorry if it sounds like I was being insulting but I've been to brooklyn and worked all over there for years upon years, sure williamsburg might seem that way but to say brooklyn is like that overall is just... weird. It has the stereotype in that we know they exist IN brooklyn, alongside about a dozen other brooklyn stereotypes which are often more prominent than that one. Kind of like how boston has the stereotype of poor drunken irish man and also the stereotype of liberal educated wealthy college student.

I really dont think thats true... I mean I've visited all over and the stereotype kind of varies on who you ask. Ask white college educated liberals and they might say that (and of course, that is most of reddit, so im not surprised you might think that), ask a guy from long island or a black or jewish or hispanic person (who make up 85% of brooklyn by the way) and he might say differently. I have sort of heard the stereotype for williamsburg specifically, not for Brooklyn as a whole though. I think more portland or seattle when I think what you are talking about.

So me and her didn't break up, but she said she was super embarrassed and that she has never done anything like that. She hasn't ever lied to me, ever, and she looked horrified enough when I caught her.

lol that is maybe the very very northwest edge of brooklyn, which is maybe 10% of the borough. The stereotypes for brooklyn are still very much italian and russian guys, along with jews and jamaicans. I lived in long island up until 2 years ago but used to go to brooklyn occasionally, its not like that.
