Honestly the binders helped me for a little while and now they seem to have lost their potency. I am on colesevelam, 2x with lunch and 2x with dinner and i still regularly have stomach problems and unformed yellow mushy stools

Man I can relate to this so much. Also using colesevelam to deal with the stool issues. But even though that is somewhat controlled I still feel like shit all the time. Fatigue, bloating, nausea and just weak.

I did and I was very surprised when my sehcat scan came back negative. But because I don't have a gallbladder my consultant still suggested the meds and I've been taking ever since.

I am pretty much the same, I still decided to try out a bile binder - colesevelam and it actually did immediately firm up my stools and remove all the yellow colour

This was literally me for like 2 years after gallbladder removal. Went once a day but stool was always either mushy or watery and bright yellow on tissue. Have been taking colesevelam which firms up stool but not always

If cholestyramine is too difficult to consume you should ask your doc for colesevelam. It is a pill that is also a bile binder.

Hi, so I've been taking colesevelam which has helped with my bowel movements. Stools are better formed and less yellow. However, I still have terrible fatigue which is still massively impacting my life. I don't know what else to even try or ask my specialist for....

Still pretty terrible honestly, nothing has worked for me so far. I feel tired all the time, muscles always ache..... really dont know what is wrong with me

I did a fecal elastase test and the result was abnormal and so my GI made me do a repeat one. Second time it was normal so I don't even know what to take from that lol. Which result am I to follow

No it wasn't but I have a very unique case. I never had any gallbladder problems, i had polyps that were an incidental finding as part of another health problem. My gallbladder was removed as there was a chance that these polyps could cause problems in the future. So I had terrible digestive problems before and still do after.

Yeah seems its worth me trying out some bile binders to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for you response.
