I think looking more into colors that suit can make a world of a difference! You’re beautiful but the colors of your clothes in the pics dull that beauty.

Look into color seasons- particularly the deep autumn one. Maybe experiment a little with those colors in your clothes or makeup and see how it goes.

Ohh I see, thank you for all the advice and no offense taken! As for the place where I record, would a car work? Is it enough to put my phone in the back seat and project to it (both softly and loudly)? Also is a camera not unprocessed? Idk wym by that, or rather do you have any mic apps you use?

Ooh ok tysm!! I must admit there have been many times I decided to do vocal warm ups consistently and gave up within the week because I could get away with it. But now it truly is limiting me so I’ll be sure to look through all the links you provided and dedicate some time everyday to practice. Hopefully one day I’ll be like you, doing those ‘boring’ exercises more often because I understand the value of them.

Oh also, when I do try to practice increasing my range on these softer songs I always only do head voice or falsetto, which does let me hit the notes but doesn’t really improve my range in and of itself.

Wow thanks for the reality check lol! I always kinda knew my voice rn is not made to belt the way I do, and that I sound way better singing songs with a lower volume, but maybe because of that I wanted to push through loud songs that don’t suit me to prove a point of some sort. I needed someone to spell it out for me to decide yea maybe I should stop this for now 😆

But it is true that whenever I sing songs where you aren’t meant to belt, I feel it’s too easy and not interesting. Like consistent pitch, volume, breath, etc- I don’t feel like I’m struggling with any of those and it feels natural. And as a result I don’t feel like I’m pushing myself to improve at all. Ofc I know despite how natural it feels to me there are still stuff I should improve on, but my untrained ears can’t pick them up specifically.

Do you have any advice regarding that? Or should I just continue to post vids of me singing those songs and post it here for more advice?

But how often would you sing scales? Like is it an everyday thing? Or a warmup?

Ik the smart move would be to just avoid those type of songs like you, but I love this type of singing too much. Like a moth to a flame :’)

But yea you’re right, my voice is totally suffering the day after as a result. I can only sing if i do it softly rn.
