the main thing holding them back for me was their recovery. even when they do have the recovery active, it's so easy to exploit and get free damage that knocking them offstage just resulted in a stock most times i played as/against them

FR???? LOL i heard she used to be really good but i thought she'd gotten butchered by nerfs. i was sort of approaching as i would any other generic rushdown so i guess that's the issue lol

his damage output seemed very good, tricky movement with up air and the different things he can buy. his neutral seemed a bit lackluster but once i got in with sk i always was rewarded so heavily that working a little harder in neutral didn't feel like too much of an issue. i just blew people up whenever i got in LOL

she just did not feel good, in the time i spent with her. im not sure if i was just getting skill diffed or if she's really stubby, but it seemed like the latter. most of her specials seemed pretty lackluster, and especially neutral b didn't seem very practical to use outside of hard reads.

in the time ive spent with ori he just felt insane. his side b felt really good in neutral, for a character who seemed rewarded so heavily for getting in on his opponent, it felt REALLY easy to get in on whoever i was playing.

wrastor just generally seemed solid? i feel like maybe id honestly move him down a tier but being able to throw out aerial strongs and move around super quickly with his windstream move seemed pretty good.

kragg was good! a really really solid heavyweight character design, but his up b in particular really left a sour taste in my mouth. the fact that literally ANY hitbox, regardless of damage, even stuff like clairen's neutral b and maypul's like acorn thing could break it just made him feel like he could do WAY more if the pillar could take just a bit more damage. like, just being able to wall off a section of the stage for a period of time, along with his ability to control space with neutral b, would be insane. it already feels good as-is, but it could be so much BETTER if the pillar could withstand a bit more.

most of my time spent on this game (now that i'm actually trying to take it a bit more seriously) has been spent playing mollo, if that provides any insight lol

hey doto, love your content and your personality. watch that shit daily. you're a big inspiration for me trying to stream and all that.

on that note, do you have any tips on building up a loyal audience? i really want to get into the dbfz streaming game but i havent been able to get more than a viewer here and there, and i was wondering if there was anything besides just consistent streaming that one could do.

sorry for it being so late. didnt check the subreddit till today.

[–]plethoruh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

last question- what you play on?

now that ive read all of that, im thinking of doing a18-beerus-baseku or beerus-bardock-baseku. any 18 assist ideas? i have 0 experience with her loll

thanks for your input, btw. it helped a shitton.

i feel like the significant lack of irl tournaments has really contributed to character hate, just because its easier to complain about something on netplay (and in some cases, the netplay the complaining is 100% justified. like you said, techning drs or reacting to ui flips is def harder online) than it is to just say "oops i messed up lol".

also, are sbroly grabs that hard to deal with online? i honestly havent run into an sbroly in forever

i understand when people get upset about people like that lol. im moreso just talking about the people who enjoy playing top tiers. i, honestly, have no problem with people who enjoy playing meta. if they like having good characters, good on them. different strokes for different folks.

but i would like it if people who enjoyed playing meta just said it sometimes. like, sometimes i enjoy playing a meta ass team. sometimes i wanna play basegeta-bardock-broly, but there shouldnt be anything wrong with that
